Really glad they got Hunter. Between the chip on the kid's shoulder from not getting the offer from CAM that he obviously wanted and CAM taking Phinisee and Anderson out from under CMP, this just screams great rivalry fodder. Love it. Gonna be a ball watching Phinisee and Hunter jawing at each other for 4 years.

A) That is really funny and almost certainly true. B) That 15' jump hook he keeps hoisting is a thing of beauty. Curious how many of those he actually makes.

Don't I remember CAM saying in a couple of different forums soon after he was hired that he wasn't a fan of deep rotations? Pretty sure he said he prefers going 8-9 deep. Might require a little adjustment in philosophy. If you add RL and DG and subtract 1, let's just go with Green, that looks like a really, REALLY, deep roster. Don't see a towel waver in the bunch. Nice problem, too many guys who can play.

Very good fight. Thought GGG won 6 no doubt rounds and and 2 others that were pretty clear. Thought it was 9-3. I can't find any way to get Alvarez to 6 rounds. No way. Unless of course you're a drunk and obviously bribed judge. Then you can find 10.

Can't wait. Really interested to see what happens when Canelo gets tagged. Golden Boy has matched him with a lot of terrific fighters, but never punchers. Except, I guess, James Kirkland. Wonder if they know something about his chin. The difference between Kirkland and Golovkin is the difference between shooting a bullet and throwing it. Gonna be awesome while it lasts.

Welcome Jake. Couldn't be happier for the kid. Now, is there any chance Westtown can be shoehorned into the Forum Tipoff Classic or some other Midwest showcase event? Been a long time since I've wanted to see a kid live more than him, but a trip to Pennsylvania ain't in the cards.

Yeah, as much as I disagree with the way targeting is called on bang bang plays, that one's pretty much textbook. Gooch deserved it if they had called it on the field. But if the ref 15' from the play doesn't call it, calling it from the booth is complete crap unless they're prepared to call PI's and other close calls the same way.

If I sound negative, that's not my intent. Kid's played well and deserves all the credit he gets. Has really competed. He's a Freshman. He's gonna make plays and he's gonna miss plays.
