Going to be very interested to see how much criticism Bennett takes. The man gets nothing but universal accolades, and I'm not suggesting he's not really good. But his tournament record isn't significantly better than FCTC's. Now cap it off with the worst tourney loss in the history of the game.

You may be right. But Wright didn't get Villanova to the tournament until his 4th year. Bennett didn't get Virginia there until his 3rd. Beilein got UM there his 2nd year, but missed again his 3rd. Pretty sure those fan bases are ok with having kept them around. If our fan base packs it in on a highly regarded young coach 2 years in, I'd be real curious who would take the job next. Who knows, may Alford will be available.

Wickens was my favorite guy in DTM because he was just so aggressive. But I’m not sure him winning the pole 1st time out is exactly what Indycar was hoping for.

Fascinating. A kid putting up elite numbers for a tradition-rich 4A program, and basically no information out there on him. Videos, scouting reports, nothing. In this age how is that possible? Has anyone seen him? Is he any good? Or is he just compiling numbers on an otherwise bad team? Has anyone on here actually seen him?

You're almost certainly right. But this just feels to me like one of those "Remember when Romeo...." games. Sort of like when McGinnis put a million on the Kentucky All Stars. Stars feel aligned.
