This always felt like the likeliest outcome, didn’t it? If the home stuff really was a factor he’s now near there playing for a great program and a great coach in a major conference and in a system he’ll thrive in. Unless the money just wasn’t close I’m honestly surprised if it was that tough a choice.

It’s a class 4 school, so something like a couple of hundred kids per class. They probably have a really wide range of competition. There are a bunch of small rural schools down there, but there are several really good programs in and near Springfield.

Watched Scottie Adkinson a few weeks back against Chaminade, 1 of the local prep powers. Dropped a 40 bomb on them and made it look easy. Kid can get wherever he wants off his bounce. In the 2nd half he decided he was just gonna take it to the rim and that was it. He got buckets or fouled every trip. It was quite a show.

That’s an interesting read. If it’s accurate and the relationship piece is really an issue having Adams on staff would seem like a pretty strong piece of leverage.

2 things on Quaintance: 1) He is crazy young. He’s played a full year of college and he doesn’t turn 18 until this summer. 2) He’s having ACL surgery. No idea when he’s supposed to be available.

Not sure why people considered him a candidate to come with CDD given that he announced for the portal while DeVries was still the WVU HC. That told me he was definitely not a candidate to come.
