(2019) PF Matthew Hurt to Duke
cthomas replied to goonaha's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
You make an excellent point. To me, Fitzner is the wild card for how good this year can be. If he can be an effective big with an inside game to compliment his 3 point shooting, that changes everything. We lacked serviceable size last year and suffered for it. That doesn't seem to be the case this year. What happens with Fitzner might be more relevant to Hurt's game than Romeo. Off the current topic, I heard Fischer rave about how impressed he was with Forrester when he saw him in drills. Called him a "beast" or something similar. Very exciting! -

Coaches have a lot of contact with recruits, often for several years. Good coaches should be able to sort out who will fit within the team concept and who won't. -
Morgan Ellison to miss rest of spring season

Agree with this completely. And that advice should apply to women as well. -

I'm with you on that. I know kids today want the fast track to the NBA, but I'm looking for team oriented kids who want to be a part of something special while in college. Unless I missed something, college basketball is still a team sport. -

It's October, basketball season is close, the recruiting dominoes are about to fall, and we've lost our collective minds! -

I've been following IU football since 1958, and outside of a very few years, it has been painful. I've watched Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, and others I can't recall go from horrible to conference title contenders, but outside of 1967, not us. It is embarrassing! Each year we talk about whether or not we can get to 6 wins. 6, really! It's embarrassing. We should not accept the results that we get year after year. I like Tom Allen, but how can you not have a real coaching search to fill a power 5 coaching vacancy. And how can we compete when we pay a ridiculously low amount for the position. If we are giving up on football, then fine, just admit that and move on. But I for one am tired of how we say one thing and then don't support it with the cash. Alcohol fueled rant, feel free to disregard! -

Is it that we can't or do we not have the will to do it. We hang our hat on basketball, but right now OSU is better in both sports. We need to decide who we are now, not 30 years ago, and who we want to be. If athletic excellence is our goal, then make that happen, whatever it takes. -

As always happens, the depth issue shows up at the end of games. I don't know what OSU spends on its football program, but if we don't match that, we will never compete with programs like them. -

We miss the pick and then they score. How different this game could be if we just made the plays that were there for us. I guess that's the difference between top 10 teams and us. -

The question now is do we beat the spread or do we fold. -

We are out manned and out coached, but I love the fight. -

The second half has started the way I thought the whole game would be. But I have plenty of whiskey so I'll be fine! -

How could someone not pick him up as he crossed the field. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
cthomas replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I really loved Cherry 2000. I'd buy one in a New York minute. Can't let her get exposed to water, but I think I could handle that. A Keion 3000 might be useful too, if one is into that sort of thing. -

The OSU defense has not impressed me so far. That might be a problem for them against other elite teams. -

How is that different from any other game? If we don't answer here, the rout will be on. -

Honestly, I thought we would be down 3 scores by the end of the first. We are awesome! -

From the coaches to the water boy, they are better at every position. The later start and great weather gives their homecoming crowd plenty of time to get well lubricated. All the ingredients are present for an epic beat down. We have a non-zero chance to win, but I would guess that it's something to the right of the decimal point. Our ability to enjoy this game will be directly proportional to the amount of alcohol consumed. -
Got back in the game and gave it away in one play.

Can't complain about the defense tonight. The pick 6 and fake field goal are half of their points.

Gotta think MSU relaxed a bit there. Ramsey finally had time to throw.

Sometimes the other team is just better.
