(2025 Transfer) RB UAB - Lee Beebe to Indiana

I'm not putting any self imposed limitations on what CCC team can accomplish. I would have bet everything I own against IU being in the CFP. I'm not making that mistake again. -

The thing that I love about CCC is he doesn't seem sentimental at all. He evaluates talent and isn't reluctant to go out and get someone better than we currently have. That's a fomula for success. -
Completely nuts. My wife and I are ten years apart in age. We agree that ten years is pushing the limits of shared memories and experiences. My general rule of thumb is if a partner is young enough to be my child, that's out of bounds in a creepy sort of way. Obviously most of those relationships have nothing to do with love or attraction.

I really like our path. If we can't beat the teams in front of us, we don't deserve to be here anyway. I watched all of the games yesterday and I don't really fear any of those teams. Oregon has a very good offense but their defense didn't really stop PSU. Everyone I saw has weaknesses. We might be the most balanced team in the playoffs.
-
Penn State looks slow and overmatched so far.
-
Watching the teams still playing makes me appreciate the discipline and poise with which CCC's teams play. That was what I most wanted to see this year and I was rewarded in spades.
-
Purdue looks very beatable tonight and PSU looks like they could be a problem. They play like their hair is on fire. Absolutely love the energy. I wish IU would play that hard.

Probably a really good kid, but I agree, he brings out my worst instincts.

Does losing our qb coach diminished our chances with him? -
Completely agree. I liked Bill Mallory a lot as our football coach, but Cignetti has my full support and confidence. If someone offered me a bet this time last year that IU would win 11 games, I would have bet everything I have that we wouldn't. And felt like I was going to win a lot of money. This teams success is hard to wrap my head around. Never thought I would see anything like this in my lifetime.

I fully understand that. Like I said it would be great if Jackson gets to that level. I'm rooting hard for that to happen. CCC sees them every day. I'm going to trust him on what he thinks he needs at qb. It's a hard business where we want to be. There's no place for sentimental choices.
-
I'm kinda in the same place. I like Jackson a lot, especially because he's a local guy who I followed in high school. But he does not process the game the way that Rourke does. Rourke's brain is elite. Maybe, and I hope, Jackson can get there with the help of this staff. But I don't want to go into next season counting on that to happen. I don't think CCC does either.
-
I think the "definitely" part of the statement says everything we need to know. CCC obviously doesn't think what we need at qb is already on the roster. And, I might add, replacing Rourke won't be an easy task.

I agree. From what I have seen the past two years, I'm not sold on Jackson at qb. Maybe with another off season with this staff he can get there. I'm not sure CCC has seen enough to just roll with him next year. I expect us to go after a proven guy like Rourke in the portal. -

Given what CCC did in the portal this year with nothing to sell but optimism, I can't wait to see what he can do with results in hand. I would imagine that he gets a significant increase in resources ($) to work with. Can't imagine that the high rollers are anything less than wildly impressed with his year one. He definitely can identify talent. -

They were pretty funny, talking about a "70-burger" still being in play late in the game.
