When he's been wrong about something, and is shown that he's wrong, he goes forward insisting he's right no matter what the facts say. And then usually calls everyone with a differing option idiots.

Sadly, Dan is always right, even when he's wrong.

WOW! If this comes to be, what a change in trajectory from one year ago. -

The CCC way may not be for everyone. Especially players used to the old way. Cig is a coach, Allen was a cheerleader. I hate it when things don't work out with local kids but this is probably more on him than the staff. Hope he finds what he is looking for. -
Been a fan from the beginning. Had the privilege to see him at the old Rivolli theatre on 10th Street in Indianapolis in the early 70's. I think. It was a long time ago and my respect for him only grew from there. Living a long life is bittersweet in the sense that you get to experience so much but at the same time you lose so much.

Braylon Mullins (2025) SG - to UConn

I know this is a common theme with the top kids but a coach then has to figure out how to make that work within a team concept. I am very wary of kids who put their own goals ahead of the teams. I'm not saying that Mullins is that guy, but if he is, I'm probably off that train. -

I'm not a big fan of high school kids making demands concerning roles in college. Asking for guarantees like that would make me walk away. I don't care how good they think they are, it's not their program. -
I'm always down for an opportunity to use "rat bastard". Well done. And yes, when listening CCC I hear a lot of CBK. Hopefully, just the good.

Coach Cig, is that you?

Why has it taken this long to invest in a coach and a program? I love this coach. He is the right man at the right time. Actually, about three decades earlier would have been nice. -

It's going to take a while before other conference teams realize that there is no shame in losing to IU football. -

This is the type of game that will determine if we are in the top half of the league or bottom. -

Something similar has been tried and didn't end well. See Cleveland Indians 10 cent beer night. -

100%. Obviously, getting in early on kids doesn't make a difference. The best high school players we have gotten lately have been very short recruitments. I think we need to reevaluate what we are doing. -

This is the best team we have played by a good margin. -

I could not agree more. The time and resources that schools spend on high school kids is ridiculous. In the portal era, that seems less and less important. We took two guards from the portal this year and they are probably better than anyone we could have recruited who would be a freshman this year. It would feel to me a little humiliating as an adult to be kissing up to 15 -17 year old kids hoping they pick my school. I'm at the point where I just don't care that much what high school kids decide. -

And he might end up there. His life, his choice. I'd love to see him at IU, but if he's not, we'll fill his spot with someone good from the portal. High school kids decisions aren't as important as they used to be. -
No reason to even pretend that anyone cares about the " student-athlete " anymore.

As I've said before, in this new college basketball landscape, I hate the time and resources spent on high school kids. The portal just looks like a better path for schools with money to offer. I like what we added during the portal this year better than the kids we didn't get from high school recruiting. We also added a 5* freshman who nobody talks about. I love accumulating talent but I'm not sure freshmen who are one year players are better than what we can get in the portal. -

I hope this turns out to be a Hoosier commitment. I remember that the board was really high on him a couple of years ago and then the interest seemed to wane a little as we chased higher rated recruits. He looks to me a lot like the players that CBK started his career with. A Steve Green type of guy who just makes the team better for multiple years. -

I don't think he intends to. He is a smart man and I think he fully knew what he was walking into. Right now, job 1 was to put a competitive team on the field in year one. I think he is doing that. I'm pretty sure that after this season, everything will be evaluated. It's up to the university to figure out what needs to be done to make the students want to go to games and to stay until the end. Eventually, with success, the team will sell itself. We are just at the beginning of a new era of IU football. It will take time, but we have the coach to get it done. -

When teams like OSU get through the line, their running backs are going to the end zone.
