  1. If I was Crean I would be sending him NBA highlight reels daily of Wade, Deiner, Novak, his other Marquette NBA guys, VO, Zeller, Vonleh, and even Troy from last night, and in each note ask how many guys Steve Alford has put in the NBA.
  2. I don't see how going to UCLA over Indiana gives anyone a better chance at being a one and done? I mean Washington is pumping out one and dones. If you're good enough to be a one and done at this level, going to IU, UCLA, Kansas, OSU, NC State, Maryland, Syracuse, etc. isn't really going to make any difference. If you're THAT good, then as long as you work hard, play hard, etc., you're going to be a one and done. Now, if he's talking about networking/marketing in LA for the year, meeting agents, celebrities, etc., then that is something different. There could be a little value to that. But, even that won't matter much if you get drafted by the Bucks or Grizzlies for example.
  3. I'm hoping soon means today.

    2017 IUBB recruiting

Agree with you on Hartman. This might not be the right thread, but Hartman's loss could be huge. IMO it could go one of two ways, 1) his loss of leadership, spacing, BBall IQ, etc. is too much for this team to overcome, or 2) It opens up even more time for OG and OG just explodes onto the scene VO-style and we don't miss a beat. If #1 is the case, I kind of liken it to the Warriors last year in the Finals. IMO that Finals series completely changed when Bogut went down. He was so crucial to the Warriors spacing, passing and ball movement, as well as their rim protection. Colin has that kind of "immeasurable" impact. He always in the right spot, always plays hard, and is a floor spacer. What he does doesn't show up in the box score, but it's critical.

What Aloha said! I'm not bent out of shape nor do I need to chill, just having a recruiting discussion on a recruiting thread in a recruiting forum. Until the games start there isn't that much to discuss other than recruiting. Seemed like a simple discussion about whether we need to add a big for next year.

My bad, I misinterpreted your post.

You're good with one 5 on the entire roster? McSwain, Wilkes and Smith are 3/4's and while JMo can play some 5, he's undersized at that spot. That works when you're playing 300rpi schools in the non-conference and conference schools like Rutgers, but not against the big boys like MSU, Louisville, Duke, UNC, UK, etc.

When you see it typed out, we really need another big for next year, one that can play right away. I love Morgan, but he's really undersized at the 5, and while they can play the 4 those other guys are 3/4's. We'll need another true big guy. If Davis were to miss any time (fouls, nagging injury, etc.) we'd be in trouble.

    Indiana defeats MSU! Postgame Thread

He didn't even try to make a move, lower his shoulder, etc., he just ran out of bounds like it was a regular play.

Not sure he had much of a chance, but he hardly gave any effort to get that first. Pretty weak effort by the WR.

Interesting situation for me here. I'm an IU fan living in Maryland who has trained his kids that we hate UK, Purdue and UMD. The UMD-Purdue score scrolls across ESPN earlier today and my 6 year old says "Dad, we're rooting for Maryland to crush Purdue, right?" I replied, "Yes Son, we don't like Maryland, but we hate Purdue!"
  12. Finally!!!! Great win. Though even that kick was shaky.
  13. This Natee kid is going to be a beast as he gets older.
  14. This is like when Crean called timeout when the other team had none and let them set up the play for the win. Think is was UNLV?
  15. Yes!!!!!!!!!! Still need to execute though!
  16. I usually hate taking a knee, but it was the right call there. A pick in that situation and all MSU has to do is kick a gimme field goal for the win. The payoff of running a play there with 11 seconds is low.
  17. Just costs us seconds on the clock.
  18. You almost they call this a touchdown. Another play at the 1-inch line just costs us seconds.
  19. Great throw, looked like a clean hit though.
  20. Great drive. Good mix of run, pass, play action.
  21. Love that it worked, but that was stupid.
  22. A shame we weren't smarter. We should have kicked the field goal last time we were down here.
  23. Frustrating. This should not be a 14-0 game.
  24. This is where they methodically march down the field.
  25. I'll be shocked if MSU doesn't methodically March down the field here for a score.
