It all makes sense from all sides really. We didn’t deliver on our promises and recruitment pitch at the time. The trajectory of the program was awful. The product was awful. Too bad for Indiana fans we had to suffer a year of utter mismanagement by Woodson and staff to realize he better pay and work his @$$ off to make us relevant in the college basketball landscape. And then, now we should be apologetic for being upset about the awful season he constructed and delivered. It’s all too weird. But, either way, I’m glad we didn’t fold the program and accept mediocrity, but instead we are acting like a blue blood that absolutely rakes in money from a devoted fanbase and are trying to at least pretend to aim for the promises they suggested they want to contend for. He wanted to try to win big. It was clearly stated by his family. This recruitment became a no brainer once UConn was interested. Luckily for us we faired very well with Tucker and Goode and Woody can try to prove he’s a winner too.

Gotta get an adequate back up 5 for rebounding and defensive purposes. It will happen. I also think it’s crazy not to use scholly 13 just to have a body and depth since they are basically 1 year commitments anyway.

Agree. Love Trey in ball handling/create position. Underrated. Hold firm that’s his best spot. If he could ever hit the opener shot/and free throws he can play 2-3 as a plus. Pray his healing is quick and he can put up 500 shots a day all off-season.

We gotta get lineups with Mgbako and Goode playing the 3/4 with 2 guards capable of driving. Both guys are likely elite catch and shoot guys with good length. Gotta start taking advantages.

Hard to say. I’ve not seen enough. Both sides benefit. Indiana gets it’s shooter off the bench that is probably Goode enough to be a starter on a lot of teams and in a lot is situations. Illionis gets a bit rangier guy that they project to be a definite starter. Jury is out.

Yeah, let’s just hope he still abandons the hockey subbing he might be tempted to try to resume. Super exciting roster and I pray JaKai can have an off-season that allows him to be part of the fun. Love that kid. Rooting for him and if he can be his best, we will be a much better team.

It was so much more than roster construction if we are being honest. But roster construction certainly sets limitations. Staff fumbled the ball every way they could last season then managed to have a final record that looked better than anything we saw on the court all season. Here’s to hoping he’s learned more lessons than just talent evaluations and roster construction. We’ve still got a lot to prove but if I was a coach this is the type of roster I would want to try to prove it with. Backup 5 still a legit consideration.

Love this addition. He’s more athletic than given credit. A much better addition than Essegian imo. If he’s 6-10 on your roster, you should have a really good team.

Whitten used the term External in her letter multiple times. Be weary of everything that is trending in news cycles and question how and why it got to the point it did.

Kansas adds Griffin from Alabama. They will be given top 3 preaseason praise again. Maybe even top 1. I don't love the roster as much as some but it's pretty strong.

Yeah, I think roster is complete. Will be nice to see if Lamendola and Beaumont get more run. I think they are both potentially really good.
