I tend to agree. It’s sad, but it’s actually more frustrating that this fanbase just wants a winner to root for. The vitriol from some of those accounts makes me think some of them are directly connected to program to want to get back at people and dunk on people for landing good players. Yeah, glad we kept him. He’s got great connections already in place. He switched his X profile pic when Dusty announced UM that led to the speculation. It did seem odd but all signs point to good things for IU currently and going forward.

Maybe just maybe we can use a big body like Ballo to seal his man for Guards to drive and get their own. Haven’t seen that action at Indiana, ever? Really hoping, and I don’t know I expect it, but really hoping confident guard play, play making, and shot making opens up a lot of things Indiana has been ignoring on offense. Right on USPS. It’s been remarkably bad. I’m not convinced Woody has been great either though. Woody is doing things differently though where he is trying to recruit “starters” and then bench guys. So far, his bench guys have been mostly terrible and starters/freshman have been a little hit and miss. The Ledlum primary target with the evaluation to hold with X and Gallo was a catastrophic decision to last season. Just wanted to add a comment on the bag dropping. Id recommend the fanbase not villainize the bag dropping from Indiana but instead be happy we can win bag drops now. its been going on for eternity in college basketball and for the most part those dropping the biggest bags are winning the most games. I can pretty much assure you if we stop dropping bags the fanbase will have a lot more to worry about than we already do. id recommend embracing it and just leaving it out of the equation. It’s been a part of high level recruiting forever and now it just expands into mid level recruiting as well. Be happy we can compete in that for now and cross your fingers the staff uses its salary cap wisely.

I want to see guards penetrating and MM taking 7-8 threes a game on catch and shoot. Maybe a backcut from any player on the court? Maybe a baseline cut oppo from a guard drive? I’m in the middle. My heart roots like hell that we will have enough talent that things click and we overcome. My head/brain awaits the product when we are all saying why arent we shooting and hitting more 3’s. And moving off the ball. And boxing out, and doing the little things that are necessary to win. I feel like some other programs are taking the moneyball analytics approach in portal and we are trying to build the best fantasy team. I hope Woodson and Indiana can have a big year. I genuinely think Woodson and his Burners go the fan blaming route if it doesn’t work out. Scorched earth on the fans is the last thing we need as a program. It is fun winning recruiting battles. No doubt Kentucky is in a dazed and confused mode with winning recruiting vs winning on the court. Let’s do both.

If Carlyle, Rice, Ballo happen. That’s our projected “possible starters”. Grace college BIG is high likelihood to be a backup. MAYBE 1 more guard. 1 more “shooter Wing” maybe. Most intriguing portal targets Indiana isn’t targeting strongly. 1) Wade Taylor (this years Caleb Love) 2). Javon Small (I think he’s better than the guards we prioritized) 3). Jordan Pope (In the mix. I like him quite a bit) 4.) Aaron Bradshaw (Klutch gonna Klutch. This years Ware?) 5.) Jalen Blackmon. Love the family. Kid can flat out shoot. I very curious to see how he stacks up at the next level. 6) Johnuel Davis (Does Michigan get him and Goldin? McNeely? Dusty gonna be a pest 7). Frankie Fidler- He ain’t Dalton Knecht, or is he? Nah.
