I wasn't trying to go outside perspective, I was just stating that I hope that it doesn't drive a wedge between them. We do not need any more mental challenges this season. Do I hope that is angered some to make them hold others accountable and embarrass the 5 into not being stupid for the rest of the season, absolutely! Like I said it was just a thought that keeps coming up.

Ok, I am simmering down a little. One thing that keeps popping up in my mind is that I hope the stupidity of the 5 yesterday does not create resentment. The guys that played their a$$ off last night took a beating with the amount of minutes especially Trey, Race, and TJD. Trey was visibly upset at the end of the game, there is a photo of TJD after the game sitting on the bench by himself with his head in his hands, and at one point during the game Kopp was walking to the bench at a timeout screaming at what looked like one of the 5. To go through that game, lose, and then go home to what I would expect to be a hell practice, it could go bad. I really hope it doesn't!

Well I got called out for stating I was over TJD. So there is that.

I didn't mean to sound so negative last night, I am generally fairly positive. Last night sent me over the edge a little. I was already frustrated with TJD, see beginning of the thread, then came the stupidity of the 5, and then TJD has another one of those games. In fact, I am still fairly angry. Teams have now figured out how to take TJD out of the game. Pack the post and stand your ground, he will look at the 2-3 open players and just go up against 2-5 defenders. I don't understand it, it frustrates the crap out of me. Yeah, I know guys are not hitting 3s all that great, but the few times that the ball came out of the post last night when the shooter was square to the basket, they hit it. There are serious fundamental issues going on with this team. Each of Leal and Kopps missed 3s they were not square to the basket, turning as they caught the ball and moving into a shooting motion. I am at a loss, and the 5 guys was the icing on the cake.

Coach said he didn't know, would think about it on the way back to Bloomington. I guess we will see.

I stated it but my frustration with TJD spans way further than just tonight! You can go back to the beginning of the thread and see I was commenting even before the game. He is a candidate for all American and has not been playing like it.

All of our 3s tonight have been made with the shooters feet squared and ready to shoot, most of the misses have been with the shooter not squared up! Inside out! You don’t have to go 1 on 3 in the post, there are other players on the floor wide open!!!!!

Well whoever it is has a grand total of 7 followers! Sounds legit, lol.

We absolutely have to get our shooters shooting the rock! Both Kopp and Stewart are rhythm shooters, they have to get shots up to make shots consistently. Sprinkle in some inside out, with a splash of transition offense, our usual defense, and this is a very winnable game.

I really want to see some passing back out of the post on a regular basis. I think the ball sticks in the post way too often, which leads the wings and guards to stand around and watch. I know TJD is an all American and all that jazz, but it is making us too one dimensional. I have watched plenty of video that shows both Stewart and Kopp at their previous schools not just stand around watching the post. I think it is way beyond time to stop focusing on post play for offense. I know it wins us some games, but it also costs some games, too, especially when the opposing post players are bigger than ours.

Well coach answered why all of the starters got yanked. Apparently he didn’t think they were playing well!

I only got to watch sparingly from my phone and didn’t see much but 16 mins and zero shot attempts for Kopp! This is getting beyond ridiculous with him starting. Not one shot! And sorry guys this was the first game I have had to miss this year, so you can blame me I guess!
