The closest people we’ve ever had to the program posting here to our knowledge are players’ parents, who chose to be known. Yogi’s mom (who was/is a SAINT), Troy Williams’ mom immediately come to mind.

Legitimately an emotional experience in there tonight. Couple of old ladies in front of me (who you could tell were coming to Sycamore games before my parents were born) were hugging and fighting back tears during the big run in the 2nd half. Someone may have been cutting onions right by me.

Just returned from the Haute watching our next coach beat the brakes off some Bearcats. Let’s get this on the calendar still.

ISU folks are saying that Schertz signed something (not an official employment contract, I don’t believe) with SLU that’s concrete enough that UL would have to pay to get him out of it.

I don't know the X's and O's differences between BU and IU, but Wardle's system is very defense-focused also. Pretty likely that that side of the ball is one less thing to worry about with him.

Between coaches leaving, big time players entering the portal, and graduation, the Valley is setting up to be absolutely horrific next year.

That's a good call. To IU's benefit though, there are far worse places for a really good player to end up than with Kevin Willard.

The transfer portal era's Noah Vonleh. An unbelievably talented player that put up some really good numbers and performances on a team that made the fanbase want to burn down Assembly Hall. Grateful I got to watch him here and I think he has a chance to be a really good pro.

I think there are people in Conwell's ear about IU. What I don't know is if those are IU people, Conwell's "camp", or both though. Whether he comes here or not, that kid is getting paid next season.

I've found in these 3 years that doubting anything Schertz does is a loser's game, so if he goes to UL and they go with, I'm sure it would work out. Swope's size plus coming off a knee surgery this coming summer would give me pause. If he isn't staying in Terre Haute, I want Conwell at IU really bad.

Have stated it before, but qualified with mostly a gut feeling. Nothing really concrete there. I hear things being in ISU country, but nothing I'd consider "sourced", if that makes sense.

Conwell, Larry, and a hard maybe on Swope are the only guys that could play in the ACC. And Swope and Larry aren't starters on a good ACC team. Love me some Robbie, but I don't see that going well. I'm still calling my shot on Conwell to IU and would put money on it if Schertz is going to SLU instead of UL.
