He might have moments, but even a blind squirrel can find a nut.
I would rather him have an open jumper more than quite a few people on this team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
That was ugly by Evan. To think some people convinced themselves he was a shooter.
Didn't he go 100% against Oakland with more than 20 points? Mostly from jumpers? He hasn't been shooting well, but he can shoot. Those players were the practice All-Americans this week. That lineup probably destroyed the student manager defense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Weather permitting, I will be heading over to Terre Haute this week for the Wichita ISU game. I would say this will be the most realistic game that Wichita could lose this season going forward. Should be fun. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

That ACC will be unbelievable at the top. Probably the top 6'ish teams. Bottom of the B1G should be better than the bottom of the ACC though. B1G/ACC challenge should be awesome for the forseeable future. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

A little off topic here, but no need to start a thread just for this. Illinois is currently losing by more than 20 to Iowa and Illinois fans on my twitter feed are jumping on to the Northwestern bandwagon. Lol. Never thought I'd witness this. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
What are your feelings on Coach Crean?
Gee, what a savant. Glad you know what coach can and can't do. Why the hell are you not our coach then? It kills me when some jackleg pulls up to some keyboard somewhere claiming they know what coach can and cannot do. What a schmuck.
Not sure what you're so defensive about. That guy was pretty much spot-on with everything he said. The "this is Indiana so EVERYONE should come here, IT'S A PRIVELEGE" is very, very near-sighted when looking at the big picture. Also, why would anyone believe Crean can do more than what he's already done? He hasn't proven otherwise. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I like going out to the 9-hole course in town and playing a time or two a week. Not serious by any means. I don't keep track of handicap or anything like that. I go out there for fun and get pretty pumped if I get a par, if that tells you anything. Walking the course is a pretty solid workout, too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Indiana Pacers 2013-2014
Hovadipo replied to Parakeet Jones's topic in National Basketball Association
You know..the more I think about this move, the more I like it. Mostly based off of the risk/reward. They will sign him to a contract that says if he pulls any crap, it's back to the streets (his mansion). If he decides that he is on board, a good bench just became great. He had 20 & 10 games with the Cavs this year, so he still has something in there. My faith in Bird is overriding my hatred for Bynum at this point. This could also turn into a Mahinmi trade, that becomes cap space, that becomes...a long term Lance contract. *hands to the sky* Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
It came out he didn't like playing basketball back when he was a laker. I don't get it he's made enough now why not just retire. Then again if I could get by with being hurt all the time and people wanting to give me millions I'd probably keep playing too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
Exactly. I'm pretty sure this guy is riding around the NBA collecting paychecks for as long as teams will take chances on him "coming back". I guess it's a smart move, but it makes me hate him more.
My one hope is that West, Vogel, Vogel's staff, and Hibbert get him to bust his ass. That is my big concern is the fact that multiple people have said he doesn't really care for the sport.
That would be great if they could light a fire. Because he is dominant when he wants to be. Im more confused by this move than worried. If he starts causing problems, he answers to Sir Bird. And Sir Bird doesn't mess around.
ive read quite a few comments on different sites, but to those who think JB2 is the cure for this team is absolutely wrong. Im quite sure we will be seeing noah leave this year, unless he just comes out flat every game. Yes we will have a shooter but thats not going to help, and by all means im not taking away what JB2 can do, he is so talented and im so glad hes coming to IU, but just having a shooter is not going to solve anything. We NEED a BIG man, no question. We need to utilize him, feed the post, play the paint, and having a shooter on top of that would be wonderful, but until then JB2 is not going to solve our problem.
I haven't seen James play, I just know what I know about him from reading. I'm scared that people are putting way too much faith in him for saving us. It's obvious that he's a great talent, but he's going to be a freshman. Seriously, I'm seeing Final Four predictions next year. Even if Noah stays that is far-fetched.
Took some time to cool off. In the half court, when you piss away the shot clock then give the ball to Yogi and pray something good happens, these are the results you should expect. You can talk about sub patterns, turnovers, whatever. We don't have a SHOOTER. That's the missing puzzle piece. Put JB2 on this team and the results would be significantly different. I try my best to be supportive of our kids, but can someone tell me why Williams starts? He has done NOTHING! I just don't see it. I'm so tired of hearing how athletic he is, athleticism doesn't put points on the board. We are better off with Jeremy. Go Hoosiers. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
To be fair, Troy's "athleticism" helped him pull down 6 boards in the first 2-3 minutes of the game. He definitely can be a loose cannon, but when he is rebounding like that, I'm ok with him being in. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I think it's safe to say that, aside from Yogi and Noah, Stan is the best player on this team, right? If yes, then why does he play 6 2nd half minutes when it appears that his injury wasn't serious? If no, I'd really like to hear your opinion. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Thing is, I don't even care much about athletic. I want players that can flat out play the game. I've said for years that this team would miss Hulls after he was gone, and not just because of his shooting ability. He was smart and just flat knew how to play the game. He wasn't a good on ball defender, but there is more to defense than that and he was a good off ball defender.
Who's ready for a corny, cliche post? Here goes... Give me 12 Jordan Hulls' (of varying heights and weights, please) putting on the candy stripes and I will be a happy fan 20 times out of 10. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Im an eternal optimist. I'm rarely negative. Especially on public forums like this. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see JB2 rip up his LOI before midnight. Wouldn't you? He just watched Stan dominate the first half then barely play the second. 3 guys who were not playing well own the minutes down the stretch. Who would want to come and be a part of that? Sure, some shots could have fallen, or we could have gotten some calls. Unfortunately, the guys weren't put in a position for shots to fall or fouls to be called. It's nights like tonight, more than once this season, that I wonder if Fred Glass starts looking at the future and crying Knowshon Moreno tears, realizing what the fate of IU basketball could be during his tenure.
