I'm still sticking with Coverdale. Can't go wrong there. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. Don't put too much into that tweet about him roughing up Okafor. I've watched Okafor play and he is SOFT. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    Miss the NIT?

So uh...anyone expect Nebraska to make the tournament and us to miss it by a mile? If you did, you're a liar. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    House of Cards

Gotta admit, this season has been disappointing. Not a fan of every episode being 50 minutes of political banter. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    House of Cards

Anyone else watch House of Cards? Really excited for Season 2 to come on Netflix Friday! Just really hoping I don't watch it all at once, it's a possibility. (For those that don't know, House of Cards is a series produced and released by Netflix. It stars Kevin Spacey as a US Congressman and his relationship with a political reporter played by Kate Mara, along with events that probably do mimic things that really happen in D.C. If you have Netflix, I suggest binge watching it ASAP. I think they also released season 1 on DVD.) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    TOM CREAN FIRED
I completely agree. I don't think there is anything to worry about though. We are not going to fire Crean a year after our first outright conference title in two decades and being ranked number 1 for most of the season. I also doubt that the university would allow donors to dictate terms at this point, especially in regard to Glass. Now, if next season doesn't get a lot better, things might change on either the donors' part or the school's. But, that's getting ahead of ourselves a bit.
Agreed. Firing him this year would be a little irrational. Not because he "brought us back", most people are over that, but because no one is giving him a chance with this team. See if he can develop the talent that is there. Even if Noah leaves, I see him picking up someone to soften that blow. If we hover around or below .500 next year, let's consider then. TOM CREAN FIRED
His buyout after this season is supposedly $14 million. There is some debate about that. On another site, someone posted that he was told by someone in the know that the money from the big donors is there to buy out Crean, but only under the condition that Glass goes too and that the next coach has to be an Indiana guy. I can't emphasize enough: that is a rumor and completely unsubstantiated. It kind of has a ring of truth to it as far as what kind of conditions the money would come with, but it could be BS.
That sucks because Glass isn't the problem. He is a good AD from what I can tell. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  10. Well, we're 9 games into the B1G season with 9 to play. Let's step aside from the arguing and do a little poll. Who's your halfway point favorites to get to the final four, and ultimately win it all? My final four prediction: Syracuse, Florida, Kansas, and UConn. I'll take Florida to win it all. Let's see some predictions! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

The fact that Crean is saying that this team "has to come together" is frightening. That sounds to me like a broken locker room. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  14.
For as much as he shoots you would hope our pg would atleast have a better than average fg%. Name the under 6 foot players who you even know of in the nba not to mention actually play. I'd be surprised if he ever plays 1 regular season nba minute
Nate Robinson carried the Bulls to the 2nd round last year at 5'8. Jameer Nelson is listed at 6 feet. Ty Lawson at 5'11. Kyle Lowry at 6 feet. Chris Paul is listed at 6 feet or 5'11 depending on where you look. And he's pretty good from what I've heard. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

    honestly now
They're still freshman though. As good as Blackmon is he will probably need time to adjust to the college game, the others absolutely will. Let's not fall into the trap of thinking these kids will come right in and be difference makers again.
Agreed. That's one of the problems this year as well. As much as I want Hoetzel to succeed (I think he will) I don't think it will be until he's a Junior. Maybe a Sophomore. JB2 will be really good after getting some time in and RJ I think will be a decent contributor, but won't ever set The Hall on fire. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  16.
First of all my posts are incredibly condescending. He's well above average speed wise , way above average actually. He isn't on draftnet, draft express for either 14 or 15 in either round. And you can throw whatever fg% stats you want but the nba isn't looking for a 5'10" scoring point guard
You said he scores a lot because he is constantly shooting. His above average FG% shows that he's pretty efficient and not just a chucker, though he does at times. I never said he would be a star or even a mid to high 1st rounder, but I think he will get there thanks to his speed and ability to score. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17.
He scores at such a high rate cause he is constantly shooting, ya he's fast but a lot of college players are. Show me a mock draft he is in, you are talking euro mock draft right? Actually share the link to the specific mock draft you have seen him in I've seen him in zero
I haven't seen any because I don't look. Someone posted on here the other day that he is #57 this year or something, so I'm going off of that, my apologies. You think he's just average in the speed department? That's your opinion, but he looks like the fastest player on the floor in nearly every game to me. He also is a pretty efficient shooter. 46% from 3, 54% effective FG%, and 85% from the free throw line is pretty decent if you ask me. I'll just keep my comment about how condescending your posts are to myself. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18.
What makes people think yogi is a legit nba prospect at this point in his career I'm not sure. It's that same red tinted glasses that lead people to think hanner would be going pro early
Other than the fact that he is already in mock drafts, has next level speed, and can score at a fairly high rate, I have no clue why people would think that.
