Hahaha speaking of Terrance jones quick story... When he played at Kentucky a kid at my school berated him on twitter and Terrence jones responded to him and tons of Kentucky fans started cussing him out on twitter and adding him on Facebook threatening to kill him lmao
Lol fighting with UK fans on twitter is the real America's Pastime. They throw out the number of titles argument every time, which is valid, but all you have to do is say something remotely intelligent and they get super confused. Or comment about them being incest, that's the easy way out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Terrence Jones took PG's hook hair design a little bit too far. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Well game against a team we seem to always play well against tonight. What does Cope have to do to get more minutes? In the two games he has played since the All Star break he has given us solid minutes off the bench, but they came out of desperation more than anything else. Defense isn't really a valid point as neither Scola or Turner isn't good defensively, could argue neither is any better defensively than Cope
Just my opinion, but I've always thought that Cope's value was a little inflated last year because he was on a Knicks team that chucks 3's. Offensively, I don't think he can provide much more than chucking. I would agree defensively, though. Any word on Bynum? Would like to see him get a nice rhythm going with the guys well before playoff time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Unless Fred Glass takes into consideration, much less reads, what is put on this and other IU forums, it looks like there will be a lot of unhappy Hoosier fans for the forseeable future, because he isn't going anywhere. Regardless of his (poor) halfcourt offense, iffy (often total lack of) in-game adjustments, and affinity for clapping, it simply isn't going to happen very soon. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but is JB2 kind of lazy on defense? Or just not an overly superior athlete? Love his jumper and some other things he is doing, but he doesn't jump off the screen athletically. This is, of course, a tiny sample size. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

My gut tells me he is staying. You keep hearing little chirps that he is staying, but everyone is just assuming that he will leave. We won't know until April, but my gut just has him staying. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Seats 11,043. Would you want IU to have that seating capacity? Not sure what the old IU gyms would seat but I'm sure it was much less than 17,000.
Plus, there is NO comparison between the fanbases of IU and Butler. That's even counting the people around the country that hopped on the bandwagon after their 2 great seasons. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
I like the idea better than what we currently have in place. However there are obvious drawbacks to what they are proposing, such as what you are talking about. I personally think that the new system put in place is in itself more broken than what they are proposing. Off topic, but I really like that Silver is proposing some new moves to try and help improve the league. And is legitimately trying to make them happen.
The draft definitely needs fixed, but I'm just not sold on the wheel. I like Silver too. I think we will see A LOT of change in the next 5-10 years under him. Most of that presumably for the better, I just hope we avoid a lockout. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
The new idea for the Draft would help with tanking a lot. Essentially they want to make it that there is a random cycle in which teams get the #1 overall pick. By the end of 30 years all 30 teams would have had the #1 overall pick once. It is a goofy idea kind of, but in principle it makes sense. Every year every team has the same chance to be drafting high.
I kind of like the idea, kind of don't. I don't because a great college player like Jabari, Wiggins, etc. would have some form of control of who they go to. Say the Bobcats are in line to get the #1 this season, but the Heat get it next year. Wouldn't it be worth staying in college an extra year to go to a top 5 team as opposed to a perennial punching bag? I just don't like that college players could manipulate it.
I actually really like that idea. That's why I love European soccer you either make the cut or get out there is no tanking for draft picks.
I do too. If there was a way to do it, I'd love for all sports to have it, but with our draft system (that NO ONE else in the world uses) I think it would be tough. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Won't be surprised to see another expansion team by then too which will water down the league even more. Time to cut about 4 teams and stop letting the worst team in the league have best shot at the top draft pick so these ******* teams will stop tanking. Make the worst team have the last pick and that'll get teams to start playing.
Better yet, DO expand the D-League like Cuban says, let it get competitive for a while, then relegate teams like club soccer does. Lol that would throw a wrench in things. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
