(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

Reading the tea leaves here Pap, but it appears the staff is locked in on Atkins and Davis for '16, Brown for '15/'16, and Bryant for '15.  Based off what you are privey to, are there any other top names for '15/'16 that we-the board- should pay attention to?   Appreciate the insight you offer to the community!

Committed 5/1/15.   Eddie_Gibbon ‏@EGibs8796  54m Malik Ellison mentioned Georgetown, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota and wake forest as some of the schools coming after him the hardest   New name on the radar... http://247sports.com/Player/Malik-Ellison-24252   Interesting fact...Malik is the son of former Louisville great Pervis Ellison

    IU vs. MSU Postgame

Watched CTC's post-game wrap up on inside the hall earlier, and his comments to HMP were surprisingly pointed.  In CTC's years with the program this is the first time I have heard him address a player's work ethic and performance so bluntly.  Specifically he mentioned that HMP "hadn't worked" in his first two years with the program and that HMP was a "work in progress."     This echos a lot of what gets tossed about on the board, but I must admit that I was surprised to hear CTC stat it.  Let's hope this is a wake up call to the players and staff.

    Coach Jackson to Kansas

Coach Martin has been on a photoshop rampage over the last day or so.  Always curious of the intended audience when I see coaches start blasting tweets...fans (alums, current students, etc.), current recruits, or maybe the family of current recruiting targets.

    This team

Without any unexpected entries to the draft or transfers, the core of this team will remain intact this year and next. Factor in the additions of Morgan, OG, and dare I say the return of the Davis, and you have a recipe for a competitive team on the court and a lot of fun off it!     I had a conversation last night with the wife about this team being much more likeable than last year's.  I can't attest to what the secret sauce is for this iteration...accountability, mutual repect, shared struggle, etc., but I know I am excited to head to Assembly Hall or listen to Fisch when the boys throw on the candy stripes, and I can assure you that I didn't have the same feeling last year.   Here's to a solid B10 run!

    Coach Jackson to Kansas

Johnson, he was the least tenured of the Ast Coaches.

Guys fleeing like crazy?  Are you referring to our junior assistant coach that left in the summer and a strength and conditioning coach that left in the winter?  Fleeing like crazy...yeah...sound about right?

    College Bball Thread

Interesting note...kenpom ranks UNLV at 118, and, for comparison sake, has Eastern Washington at 102.
  11.   Love the use of UAB in the sentence.  How long until it is accepted by Websters?     ..and if we are offering up other nominations, can we throw in Whiskey's football program as well?

I am going to unlike this comment simply so I can like it again.

    Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets

Could be wrong here...but I remember when Remy left there were reports that he had an "incident"of less than sound judgement?  Not sure we would want him in front of 18 and 19 year olds...

    IU vs UNC-Greensboro Game Thread

David Williams I believe...I looked him up last year, and he hadn't produced much for UNC-G.

(2015) RB Devonte Williams to IU

In light of recent events-Boog, I would love to get your take on the overall recruiting board, specifically at QB, if you don't mind sharing.

    Friday's Game

Good pull- I ended up with GA's for Michigan and Minney with floor for the Dan Majerle All Stars...errr Grand Canyon, pretty pleased overall!

This.  Remarkable when you have a potential team with three other Burger Boys (Jimbo, Yogi, and Noah).

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU

Add a little intrigue to the visit...Drew Messmer just switched his Crystal Ball pick from Mizzou to IU...the next few weeks are going to be a lot of fun!

    JaQuan Lyle off the board

Love the debate here, pleased to find a civil convrsaton on such a polarizing character!   With that said, I would gladly take JaQuan on the roster.  For those who have been around the site for a while, there was conversation last Fall/Winter when CTC was in Evansville for a speaking engagement and JaQuan tweeted that "his city loved Coach Crean more than they love him" he closed his tweet with "...and I understand why they love him."  I mention that antecdote becuase I truly believe that if any coach can help/reach JaQuan and enable him to reach his dreams of playing in the league...it is CTC, and JaQuan realizes this.   Again just my two cents.

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

I know there are mixed opinions on 247's Crystal Ball, but Jerry Meyer just tagged IU for OG.  Of the voters on 247, he is the one that I believe holds the most water.  Shaping up to be a very interesting visit...   http://247sports.com/PlayerInstitution/Ogugua-Anunoby-at-Jefferson-City-56746/CurrentExpertPredictions

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU

Time for a little "sunshine pumping"... -He is rescheduling due to an academic conflict, if this is true...I respect the young man more for having the courage to make the hard decision -The weather is dreadful in Bloomington today and this weekend isn't expected to be much better -I don't expect great turn out for Saturday's game (North Texas + Coming Off a Big Loss = No Bueno) -October 17-19 is Homecoming, great opportunity for the staff to showcase the campus
