Apologies if I missed it, but is it a foregone conclusion that USC will earn the PAC12 NY6 invite regardless of tonight's outcome? Looking at the conference standings Oregon is 3-2, USC's opponent tonight, and Washington is 3-1 and on a COVID bye. I have a hard time imagining a world where Oregon would claim the NY6 bid with a win - but then I am reminded of Iowa St.'s standing in the CFP rankings sooooo who knows....

...and Grier has signed as well. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Season/2021-Football/Commits/ This class reminds me a great deal of a typical Pat Fitzgerald class at Northwestern - smaller in sheer numbers but with solidly ranked players that fit the program culture and vision of the staff. If CTA can have the sustainable on-field success that Fitzgerald has achieved I would be thrilled.

Quick Signing Day Update, CTA is up to 13 signees, including Matthews the FSU transfer. I believe the only young man left at this point is Grier from Georgia. No surprises, good or bad, so far.

It's being reported that WR Rashawn Williams has entered the transfer portal, see link below. This is a bummer considering his strong prep pedigree, 4*. I do wonder if the staff is planning on bringing in an additional receiver to the '21 class, e.g. Malachi Bennett from Alabama. https://indiana.rivals.com/news/iu-freshman-wideout-rashawn-williams-enters-transfer-portal

Thanks Chris, do you see an interplay with this recruitment and Parker Stewart's courtship?? -

Thinking a bit more about this, if Salute to Service is in the cards for the coming years it would be cool to see the program honor the Indiana Army/Air National Guard with a unit themed uniform similar to what Army brought to life for the 25th Infantry Division this afternoon.

IUFB -- DC Kane Wommack to South Alabama
MemphisHoosier replied to LamarCheeks's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
It appears that Dwike Wilson will be joining Wommack as well. Good move for Wilson, I will have to add South Alabama to my 'second favorite team' list with Coach DeBoer & Coach Inge's Fresno St. squad. -
If I may add one more to the list @jbell833, Army. No impact for IU, but Navy sucks ; )

The question will be, which players 'want' to come back for the 2021 season? I can see some of the men who have been in Bloomington for five years or so being ready to move on and start that next chapter, e.g. similar to how we think about Joey Brunk on the court. Looking at 247, CTA has 13 commitments for next year plus the FSU transfer, Matthews. 14 is a smaller class than what we have traditionally seen in Bloomington so I am sure the staff has solid expectations for which players are/are not sticking around. Either way, the scholarship numbers always work themselves out.

For context below is the list of Graduates, 5th Years and Seniors this season. My biggest concern is the OL since CTA could potentially lose Crider, Nworah, and Powell. I feel 'fine' at receiver, d-line, and specialists if younger players continue to develop & step up, and I have no reason to think they won't.

Ohio State opens as 30 point favorites against the Khaki Crew from Ann Arbor = X If that happens, I wonder how Habaugh sticks around for 2021?

Tremendous question, I have wondered the same myself. Thinking back, I believe this has been a common sighting since the beginning of the season... -

Three to go, and it looks like CTA may have a shot at Iowa in two weeks. -

Today is a great opportunity to knock off one of the four teams that IUFB currently has a losing streak against in the B1G. We haven't beaten the Badgers since '02 - my freshman year in B'ton = I For fun, the four B1G schools that fit that criteria are: Ohio St.(last IU win 1988) Iowa (...2012) Minnesota (...2007) Wisconsin (...2002) -

Franklin, any man who plays 40 minutes, puts up solid stats (13pts, 8 reb, 5 ast), and spends a good portion of that time guarding a Burger Boy deserves the recognition.

Thank you Sir, in theory we may have Jones back for Wisconsin. If so, that would be a huge boon for the O-Line in Tuttle's first start. -

Apologies if I missed it in the various threads. Has anyone heard anything on why Caleb Jones is still out, third week in a row I believe? Also, any news on Sampson James and when he may return? -

(2021) - PF Mason Miller to Creighton
MemphisHoosier replied to ap2345's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
^This. I have read a few anecdotes from the national recruiting guys expecting a 'wild' spring/summer recruitment window full of decommits & seemingly odd school selections for the class of '21 due to the (1) potential immediate eligibility for transfers, (2) an additional year of eligibility across the board for athletes, and (3) the inability for coaches and staff to get recruits on campus and see them live. I bring this up because as much as it pains me, patience might be CAM's strongest weapon this recruitment cycle. -

My cold, dead heart would love to see Rutgers stomp Nebraska. Bonus points if it happens in Lincoln while Scott Frost's crew are in their black uniforms. -
That Purdue missed field goal - yikes.
