This is where I am as well. For the most part if you are in a Power Conference you will have a solid SOS and just need to stack wins to 19-21, depending on the season. My biggest concern is the impact this approach may have to the premier OOC tournaments, e.g. Maui, Atlantis, etc. The challenges and tournaments are one of my favorite parts of the holiday season (don't tell my family!)

Unfortunate to see, by all accounts Ben Johnson is a great guy, but the situation with Minney hoops is a tough trek and I dont see him flipping the script.

I would anticipate an exodus regardless - the benefit of bringing in a new guy at the end of the year is that you would expect a little bump in the next class or two with new-guy recruiting juice.

A bit of additional intrigue on this recruitment, I didn't realize Trent's father, Matt, played AAU ball in Evansville with our very own Calbert Cheaney. I am more convinced than ever that CMW is playing three dimensional chess.

A thoroughly mediocre La Tech team is holding their own against Nebraska - not looking great in Lincoln this fall. I'll be surprised if they win three games in conference.

Agree, just a really tough watch. NBL is high-level basketball, and he clearly isn't ready. The first red flag for me with Flowers was the multitude of HS's attended - four in four years, never a good sign.

Who is the main competition in his recruitment, only seeing Iowa & Notre Dame beyond local mid-majors?
