Not even Kentucky? Purdue? At least a little bit? Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Then what you are saying was addressed in my post that you quoted Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

I get the point. Crean has already been commended for running a clean program. Ask yourself this question. In light of the recruiting misses that crean had, would you now take crean back and send Archie back to Dayton? If not, why not? The reason why not is our point. I'm not saying his recruiting wasn't at a disadvantage. I just believe his coaching put us at more of a disadvantage than his recruiting recruiting ever did. If anyone disagrees, and would like to bring crean back and get rid of archie, then maybe we should start a thread so you can tell me why. I'm not saying anymore about it on this thread. I'm of the opinion that his fallacies as a coach outweigh any recruiting issues he had by playing fair. If everybody wants to give him double bonus points, then fine...but is still Not Good Enough to coach IU Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Aren't we only being exposed to 3 cases out of an overall 12 that have been sealed though? Really makes me wonder what is coming up Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Yeah it does make sense. It is also really relieving if true Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Ok. Duly noted. Let's find out he was truly clean and then rehash this conversation on a different thread maybe Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Was there ever any actual reporting that it was Kenny Johnson? Or was it hearsay? I'm asking because I truly don't know Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

How many years did crean coach to get to those three sweet sixteens? Those outright titles? Is he the one you believed would get us to the next step? Did IU have good fundamental basketball teams for the most part? Did he make good in-game adjustments after his pregame planning fall apart? How did they do against Syracuse? Wisconsin? The questions can go on and on...it has been established he brought the program back to where we are now. The consensus, I have always believed, is that what he did at the end just wasn't good enough. There are plenty of teams that didn't buy players and got comparably better results from their coaches. I'm kinda surprised by your stance Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

For what it's worth, I think he would be great at righting the ship at Louisville if he would even be interested in doing that Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Wisconsin and Butler I have to presume play fair and do an excellent job of growing and developing their players to not turn the ball over, and have overall good fundamentals. Also have coaches who make good adjustments and are really good coaches. I'm not trying to pile on crean but these points keep getting brought up. Crean did great things for the program and I don't think Dalton or anyone else is arguing that. But if coaching is your Achilles heel and you are paid to be a coach, that's how you get fired. Not recruiting Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

In-game coaching, player development, in-game adjustments, fundamental teaching for limiting turnovers etc...I'm sure that I can continue on. The reason he was fired has been underlined as a large portion Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

This....that provision of playing the game the right way should be in every contract a coach signs. Doing your job without breaking these rules shouldn't get you bonus points Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

He ran a clean program, hopefully. And I think everybody is more grateful of that than they probably have ever been before. But he was not a great coach, and I don't think the cracks were anything malicious. I think it was more the humor of crean being the one to break all of this loose Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

Whoa!!! Tom crean, the savior of college basketball!! I guess he can figure out corruption better than a zone! Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

One would assume but I think all assumptions may be flying out the window with this saga. I'm truly fascinated by all of this but at the same time hoping nothing hits IU with it Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app

I see your point but mayweather was also quite a bit younger in those fights. Even the best fighters ever lose to father time. I don't believe conor is better than any of those fighters. I just think he caught mayweather after age caught up with him. I think a really good fighter in the same class would have beat Floyd that night. That said, I thought conor did a whole lot better than I expected him to Sent from my LG-H900 using BtownBanners mobile app
