If Archie went to NC State, my fav choices would be down to Bennett, Stevens, Donovan, and Marshall - none of which I see coming here this year. God, please don't spite us with another year of CTC.

Also from TOS, " Chris Spittola on Sirius this morning. Per a reporter in the Raleigh Durham area who has said this is coming from multiple sources. Evidently, Gottfried, HC at N. Carolina St., is on his way out. Lost the team and having a disastrous season. Number one target is Archie Miller, HC at Dayton, up and coming coaching star, and ex-Wolfpack player"

Really need this to take off and become a reality. I don't think my mental/emotional state can handle another year of Crean. I feel like I'm in an abusive relationship and I have no control of getting out of it.

He used my tweet response to him in his article about the ship taking the captain. I commented on his article as well haha Sent from my SM-N920V using BtownBanners mobile app

Not to mention a pattern of 2 lowly finishes for every conference title. Maybe Crean is more consistent than we give him credit for? Just need to wait 3 yrs between good teams haha.

I'll add on to your thread with some other numbers.... Seeing these stats just really puts it in perspective. Our conference finishes from 2011-present: 2011: 11th 2012: 5th 2013: 1st 2014: T8th 2015: 7th 2016: 1st 2017: 10th (proj)

Sounds like this is an AA meeting.

I'm dropping this in this thread as well, cause the next coach hopefully espouses valuing the ball and treating the first and last 5 min of each half as extremely important: Went back through the season's play by play and found the following...Turnovers on the 1st or 2nd possession of the game this year. Today - J Newkirk TO 1st possession Purdue - Rojo TO 1st possession Wisky - Newkirk TO 2nd possession Rutgers - Bryant TO 2nd possession Maryland - Rojo TO 2nd possession Wisky at home - Bryant TO 1st possession Louisville - TO on first 2 possessions Nebraska - Newkirk TO 2nd possession Houston Baptist - JBJ TO 1st possession Liberty - Bryant TO 1st possession Kansas - Bryant TO 1st possession

Went back through the season's play by play and found the following...This is why we don't typically have strong starts: Today - J Newkirk TO 1st possession Purdue - Rojo TO 1st possession Wisky - Newkirk TO 2nd possession Rutgers - Bryant TO 2nd possession Maryland - Rojo TO 2nd possession Wisky at home - Bryant TO 1st possession Louisville - TO on first 2 possessions Nebraska - Newkirk TO 2nd possession Houston Baptist - JBJ TO 1st possession Liberty - Bryant TO 1st possession Kansas - Bryant TO 1st possession

How is Altman, Enfield or Holtmann even in your top 5? Altman has had 2 defenses capable of winning a title since 2002. Even Crean has had 3. Holtmann has had 1 in the last 6 years and Enfield's best is this year at #79. These guys would all fare the same or worse than Crean just looking at the way they don't value defensive minded teams.

But but but we have the most wins against top 5 or 10 teams in the last however many years.....

Ya, goes along with what I posted in the Fire Crean thread... Over the last 4 seasons, we're 36-29 in the BiG with three finishes of seventh or worse over last four seasons – including this one not yet concluded. I decided to extrapolate on that further. Since 2012 we're 61-41 in conference. Other than the 2 BiG championships CTC has won(remove 2013 and 2016) we're 32-34. Under .500 in conference for 2012, 14, 15, and this year. More often than not in the last 6 years, we've been under .500 in conference. I think I posted this before the PU game too, so add another to the loss columns.

I've been watching UD ball since Brian Gregory was there and I went to school up that way. I've seen Archie the past 5+ years. Not sure how you come to your conclusion after watching 1 game, but to each their own. Wherever Archie ends up after leaving UD, he'll turn that program into a perennial tourney team and make good runs due to the way he has his teams play defense. While I'd still like Marshall or Bennett over him, he's high up on my list as one of the better young coaches in college basketball.

Yes, HH dislikes me as well for giving factual basis for why I want CTC gone. Guy is delusional in his support for Crean as the long-term solution. I also got a ban from him and didn't post for months
