Here is the problem I believe. It's a potential strategy in this day with the portal but imo it will never work. You need to bring in kids as freshman who develop and play together. You use the portal to get pieces you need to complete what your building and what your team needs. The main reason the portal will not work is the best players don't enter the portal. The best ones go pro. The next level down are really talented players but alot of them are already on a good team and stay put. The good ones who aren't happy who enter the portal will be sought after as the pieces alot of good teams are after. So we with our laughing stock program will have to beat out kansas and dukes of the world to get them. Probably not happening. The rest of the kids are probably alot like x. Talented players but have a bit of baggage with them which is a risk. If Woodson proves me wrong and adds a bunch of talented kids in the portal he then has to be able to get them to connect and play as a team.
