If you were a basketball coach and were not at one of the top 30 other programs and didn't want the iu job then you dont want to be successful and should just quit coaching. If duke or unc had sanctions and they call you to come in and coach who wouldn't? Not sure what Marquette paid crean but i bet he made some nice cash being mediocre at iu. The animosity comes from crean being a insanely terrible coach and people are tired of watching it imo. Crean did a ok job and cleaning up a mess but not sold that alot of coaches could not have done better. People get mad when watching terrible basketball.
