On Yogi’s Recruitment and the Impact of Social Media (Plus a Message to the Naysayers)
It would be impossible for me to complain about you guys as you guys spend time complaining about the team. Like I said before, why do guys who spend all their time criticizing the team get so hurt when they get criticized for being so negative all the time? I'm in the grown up world. Adults don't spend all their time acting like spoiled brats the way you guys do.
It's very possible because it's true. You obviously see what you want to see. When the team plays good I say it, and when they play bad I'll say it. Your adult world must be in a bubble because wanting everything posted to your liking makes you sounds like the spoiled one.
Why is it that guys who spend much of their posting efforts in criticizing anything and everything they can dream up the first to get upset when someone criticizes their constant and often overboard criticizing? Seems like they should be able to take a little criticism back to me. I'm confused.
I'm realistic. I call it like I see it. Oddly as much as you hate the negativity you complain about it even more. You complaining about it to the extent you do is much worse. If you don't like people being realistic don't read it. I've never in my life seen someone that acts like such a baby over peoples views of the team like you do. Grow up and join the real world. Not everyone is going to post the way you want them to. I'll criticize or applaud the team when I see it's warranted. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Hopefully we come out for 40 minutes instead of 20 tonight. A win is much needed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

So if you say something negative about the team you aren't a true fan? That's hilarious. I'd say being realistic vs always saying the team is just fine makes you more of a "true fan" because you're willing to be honest. Good article but that last bit was way off point in my opinion. Someone mentioned it earlier and I think it was spot on. At the end of the day he is 18 years old. 18 year old kids change their mind more than they change their underwear. I hope he stays but I doubt he even has any idea what he's doing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

What was the point of activating Hanner?
Dalton26 replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I didn't say that you said he should be suspended and nothing else.... I said (or at least meant) that just because he got to lace em up and play that doesn't mean his punishment is over. When I said "He doesn't get a lot of minutes anyway so if your only form of punishment is suspended is that really a punishment I ask?" I didn't mean your as in Dalton's only idea of punishment... I meant if Hanner's only punishment. I simply disagree with the rest though... being punished isn't the same across all fronts... as you serve your punishment it changes, it has different levels, it means something different.... IU is not the court of law but the punishment can be thought of in the same process.... He spent time in Jail... does that mean his legal punishment is over? No, but he doesn't have to stay in jail while facing the rest of the punishment. He was suspended for 2 games, then he was reinstated... does that mean Crean or IU is done with his punishment, no but they don't have to keep him suspended for the rest of it. All I was trying to say.
Then I took what you said the wrong way. My bad on that. To me if he's still getting in trouble whether it be by the university, law, or team then he should t play. That's just my view, to me it seems like they're trying to punish him but at the same time they aren't. Inevitably the thing all these kids want to do is play ball so if you're trying to punish them yet still allowing them to do what they want most just doesn't make sense.
...... Who are the Heat going to cut to sign Butler? They don't currently have a roster spot open, and as of right now if they waited until Liggins contract played out then signed someone, that player would not be eligible for the playoffs. Presumably they would want Butler for the playoffs, and again if a player is not signed before March 1st they will not be eligible for the playoffs. I could see them cutting Liggins, but why would you sign a player just to cut them immediately. The only feasible argument for signing Liggins then letting his ten day contract play out, then immediately signing someone else would be depth for the regular season. If anything the most likely thing that will happen is they either continue to give Liggins a ten day contract, or more realistically sign him for the rest of the season. People keep linking the Heat to all these players, they have shown in the past they don't start just chasing after players, they usually stay put and let guys come to them.
To be completely honest I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't sign Liggins for the rest of the season and not sign anyone else either. Whether we keep Liggins, get Butler/Granger or leave the spot empty(if we don't keep Liggins that is) it wouldn't surprise me at all. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

“@daldridgetnt: Sixers, Danny Granger finishing buyout today, per sources. Teams in hunt: Clips, Bulls, Heat, Rockets, Spurs.” Didn't expect to see the Bulls on that list. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

What was the point of activating Hanner?
Dalton26 replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yes it is. There are many types of punishment. He doesn't get a lot of minutes anyway so if your only form of punishment is suspended is that really a punishment I ask? He did a bad thing, made a bad & dangerous decision. Only hope he learns from it... there is still a lot of punishment coming his way from the courts, the team, the coach.... he isn't going to be past this for a while.... I hope this isn't his attitude but what if he was suspended for the rest of the year, not like the team is having a lot of fun/success.... what is he really missing out on... even when he was suspended he was still on the bench with the team....
No where did I say he should only be suspended and nothing else. That makes absolutely no sense and I don't get where you pulled that from. If he's still being punished "behind the scenes" then he should be punished on all fronts. Telling someone not to do something then letting them still get some of the perks (suiting up and playing) is completely backwards and contradicting.
my gut says he will stay one more year. depends on his family's situation and were he is slated to be drafted. He is a young freshmen, i think he is only 18. i thought the NBA had a age requirement so he will not be 19 during the draft. He won't turn 19 until Aug. Draft is in June.
They just signed Liggins to a ten day contract, which means even if they signed Granger he would not be eligible for the playoffs, have to have been signed before March 1st. So unless they cut Liggins, which makes zero sense in the world given they just signed him, Heat aren't going to be signing Granger.
I think it'd make sense. He's just an extra body so cutting him wouldn't do any harm. We've been more linked to Caron Butler than to Granger though. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
