Honestly I’d be more worried if our OC left, but thankfully Coach Allen is a defensive guy. Congrats to coach Womack! It’s nice seeing our coordinators leave for head coaching jobs instead of lateral moves to other staffs. So do you all think we hire someone outside the program for DC, or does someone like Coach Peoples, Coach Shelby or someone internally get the bump?

With the extension/raise he got last yr he is currently the 33rd highest paid coach in the country. I don’t see the school having an issue with bumping him higher if need be. His buyout as of 12/1 is $20 million, that’s the 14th highest in the country. My comment wasn’t directed at you personally it was aimed at the false reports of 100% capacity. It’s all over the news down here now that the 100% capacity reports weren’t accurate and were an error on TMC’s part which the hospitals in the TMC system had already refuted shortly after the initial report. It just irked me because I was trying to get tested again to see if I was finally negative and I’ve had to wait a week for the results(tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I popped positive) and it’s because the media hasn’t gotten their facts straight before reporting and it’s making people freak out. The Dr that ended up giving me my latest test, said most of the people he’s been testing haven’t had any symptoms they’re just worried and want tested. That’s causing the back log for Regular sick people and those who have tested positive like myself.

Agreed. It’s hard to read intent through text, and I made a broad statement when it honestly would’ve been easier to be more specific. Sometimes I forget people can’t read my mind. It never got personal or insulting and whether we agree or not, I’ll have those kinds of discussions anytime.

You do realize this discussion was started on you making a “straw man” argument right? The whole thing about me being upset about people following recommendations which I never actually said. Not to mention we were discussing people freaking out which was what my entire post was about.

Well what would you call people calling the police on others for not wearing a mask? What about people reporting businesses for opening back up? Creating an $11 million pop up hospital at the tax payer expense at NRG stadium, that never had a patient when it was closed down a couple weeks ago? County judges threatening to throw people in jail or fine them $1000 for not wearing a mask in public while releasing convicted criminals from jail at the same time? Thank god the Texas Governor stepped in before she could really do anything because that’s exactly what the county judge in Houston tried and did do when all this started. I’d say that’s freaking out, if not it’s darn close. I’m not at all upset if you or anyone else wants to wear a mask. I’ve not said a bad thing about anyone that prefers to wear a mask either.
