SEC Network + - Videos - Watch ESPN scroll down to IU - Tenn I am not a subscriber. Is there a cheap way to watch just this game? -
I like that we are targeting big time WRs. I know Rourke gets a lot of credit for great QB play but our WRs are strong. Those back shoulder throws are impressive but equally impressive is the ability of the WR to turn his body while running to catch it. I have not seen a drop stat for our WRs but it has to be very low as they seem to catch everything.

IUFB vs Washington - Saturday, 10.26.24 - ESPN College Game Day

Dang. All these years and I did not know this. I have usually been too cheap (I like to keep my cash for when a kid tells me last second they need $ for something at school lol) to pay for parking and have walked pretty far over the years. -

The trouble is what defines a mediocre season? 1) If you determine that based on our success over the last 5 years or so, then the bar is much lower. 2) If you determine that based on what Woody has stated, BT and national championship contenders, then that bar is much higher. Given the roster we have, the NIL $ Woody had access to, we should be closer to #2. But like last year, Woody seemed pleased with what he has done as coach whereas most on here did not agree. I would think a top 4 BT finish (if lower, then finals of BTT) and a minimum sweet 16 in NCAA tournament. Hopefully that punch list includes high expectations for on court results. -
(2025)- Trent Sisley to INDIANA

He may end up being great but to be fair he was the lowest ranked of the kids we were after who made decisions this fall. Hopefully he proves to be as good as those kids we skip over but go elsewhere and we all regret it. -

So, have you heard how those people who gave money and wanted Mullins might be interpreting their ROI? Woody did land a strong portal team and maybe they overlook the HS misses but if we had the better financial package for a local kid and lost out it does say we might not be an attractive enough school for top HS talent. -

What would have changed coaching wise at this point? -

Was it you that mentioned something about the NIL$ being for this year but there were expectations that we land a strong HS class. If true, and it seems less likely unless we luck into some decommits again, who placed that expectation on woody and what do you hear about that. -
Any idea where we rank on NIL and staff salary? I think those will be just as important to keep on par.

This is true. I had a couple kids recruited at a lower level and their experience matches yours. Other kids they played with went D1 and they too had the same experience. You may really think option 1 is absolutely where you until you learn something you had not considered before. We had one coach that encouraged my daughter to visit just "so she knew what she was saying no to". She was torn between 2 schools, and I was wanting her to visit yet another school. She had her rankings which would move around some, but late in the process there was a coaching change at a school we had eliminated before. Suddenly the new coach calls, we schedule a visit, and it became obvious they were the best fit. This process is like a timeline. Along that timeline, the kid, his parents, even coaches may be convinced they are going to go to school x but so many things can impact that timeline. Things you never thought of that you learn as you gather information can change things once considered a lock. -
Thanks for the background. I only listened to the podcast but wondered who the person was who was interviewing Cigs. 2 degrees from IU, president of Cook since 2013 and has been actively involved in "start-ups". If the $3B net worth is accurate, and he has some friends in that range he may just be the perfect guy to have involved. He is even good running the podcast but it seems he has a background doing that as well. Certainly, feeling better about Cigs answer to his question.

It was good to hear him say that but, I am sure there are some people who heard some similar things from him about JMU. It is going to take a pay raise for him and his staff plus a bigger commitment to NIL than we have now to keep SEC programs from snatching him. It is possible that happens here but those are big time investments in a program that would be new to IU. Some will say that he would have to compete against some of the best college football programs weekly in the SEC but taking the IU job and expecting to compete against OSU, Michigan, PSU, Oregon is no cake walk. I don't see that being something that will scare him away. It will come down to whether we are willing to invest in the football program to make sure he continues to feel that we have "unlimited potential".

Murray was with Mack at L'ville before though and they did not have success. Other than arriving at the same time they started having success there more to the story? -

So when he went to Kentucky did the plan fall apart then? I am not following how those posts were truly a big deal unless you are saying that missing Malachi killed the dream. That could be but then I wonder why Sisley committed. I had thought he wanted to go here IF others came with him. -

Chris's buddy Tyme mentioned that Hurley really was not the mastermind of the success, but his OC was. I thought Tyme also indicated that perhaps this coach has moved on but looking at their staff I think it is intact. Ignoring Tyme for the moment, any idea if Uconn lost an assistant coach this offseason? Any thoughts on whether that could impact their success? If I am a kid considering them, unless the assistant was the primary recruiter, this is probably not something i worry about. -

That is kind of what i thought but could not remember. Do you think Tayven or Cherry is more likely just based on the current roster? It seems when Tayven has been in this year it has been a run first focus. -

Has Cigs/Shanahan had success with mobile QB as well? Wondering about next year and the 2 QBs on the roster now and which is more likely to take over unless we sign someone better. -

If it were me, and I did not think the guys Uconn signed would negatively impact my playing time I would have to strongly consider going there or holding off on decision until i see what this new offense at IU looks like. -

Been trying to avoid a couple of hurricanes down here in FL and must have missed the secret unofficial visit. Can you shed some more light on that. -
Hey I know some of you live in Florida and I am looking for some thoughts on moving from. Cold weather state. I am going down in a couple of weeks for a final “interview” but feel pretty confident that an offer is coming. The company would be located just north of Tampa. Looking potentially at homes in the suburbs to the north of the city. Land o Lakes, Lutz, WesleyChapel. Prefer growing towns and those seem to fit that. Any thoughts on those areas or other areas to check out? How does the summer heat compare to Indiana’s winters? I have been there for trips in the summer but wondering more how 3 months of heat compare to our winters. I have heard bugs are terrible. Skeeters as big as birds. Will the alligator in the pond eat my dog. How are the people? I assume many are from all over and it won’t be much different than here but curious what you all think. Are newer homes built to better withstand storms? Saw where one builder used concrete blocks and that got me wondering Any other thoughts appreciated Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app

Braylen's dad is a policeman right, and just guessing here, but I would imagine in that field of work it is harder to get to games that are further away. -
Talked with him tonight. He is doing pretty well. Praying the cancer stays away and he can get the energy he needs to really enjoy his teams. I also learned he coached Braylen’s dad when his pops was younger.
