So regarding Lyle, do you accept a commitment now or wait till spring? Assuming there is some truth to prior reports on him being challenging I would understand waiting for more evidence he has matured. However, if you wait and he has a productive player year at prep school with an uneventful year regarding issues do you risk having someone else come in and take him away? Assuming CTC has a pretty good feel for what his challenges are and assuming he feels optimist he can connect with him I would accept his commitment and get him signed. I would do this with the understanding that he not have any issues. If he does not show evidence he has grown up then he enters on the same thin ice Patterson may have been on. Excellent article in the Louisville courier journal about the Max commitment. Florida offered him for 2015 and UCONN offered for 14. Also good second hand comments from Goodluck regarding CTC and the program. Anyone criticizing should really sit back and see how the fall Bball season goes. I like how I have to learn the nuances of a new board every year or so. It helps keep me young. Thanks to all who do the work so I can simply click on the app and get instant good information. I remember back when in college we had these things called newspapers that kids delivered to your house. We had to wait until about 7 AM when the paper arrived to get any info. Now we get it instantly and I know there are a lot of people out there working hard like that paper carrier to make sure I get info. For that I give a big thanks! You are probably right but it sure seems to be the case. It would be great to get in a 5* in '14 but if we end up with a 2-3 3&4 star kids that will be complementary players initially and potentially regular rotation guys as upperclassmen I am OK with that.
