I had calc m215 my first semester. At the beginning of the class I had a few friends in the class too but after about a week they were gone. I ran into them a few weeks later and they said they dropped that class to get a better professor. I never went this route my first few years and basically chose the classes I needed based on the time I wanted to take it. My last two years I would punt early and drop a class if it seemed the professor was not going to be a good fit. That simple strategy I attribute to a significant increase in my GPA.

The original story which had some legs nationally was that Indiana fans taunted Coach Creans son. The defense is that Indiana fans did no such thing. Instead it was a small group of HS kids from the rival HS. The reason people bring who did this to the discussion is not to defend them but to point out first this was not Indiana fans and secondly that it was a couple HS kids from the rival HS. If you have not been to a HS game recently then you should go just to observe. Sit near the student section and you will hear a lot of things that should not be said. Most schools have a teacher or AD nearby to keep them in check.

Before the Iowa game, Dakich said he had spent some time watching IUs recent games on tape. At that point he mentioned some very specific things we did not do defensively. He then said that we need to change something on defense and strongly thought that with our small lineup and depth we should press. He ended by saying if Indiana did not press or play very aggressive D at a minimum then he would stop complaining about IU fans complaining about Crean When he spent time watching the tape I think he began to see more what some of us had seen all year. He had not watched all our games and the effort and strategy during that losing stretch changed things for him. Let's say he does do that though. Mike Davis got to the championship game so it is possible. IF he got to the elite 8, even if the cupboard is bare the next year, do you think he would be fired? I have heard that coaches don't want it to look like they drove someone out. Well if we fire a guy that got to the E8, heck even if to the sweet sixteen given out last 2 years, I think we would struggle to make Creans firing not look like it was done to get Stevens.

What do you make of the reports that Crean studied teams like Uconn all offseason to have his team adapt to the personnel he had? I am not really an X and Os guy so I do notice subtle changes. Now going to a full court press I would notice or going to a motion from the dribble drive I think I would notice. Were the halftime changes by Belicek related to psi? Yeah I know, weak. I agree, reluctantly, that BB is a master at coaching based on what he has and/or what will beat you.

I agree. I think it would be cool for those who are absolute to have a badge attached to their user ID. If they are right then they get bragging rights for a year but if they are wrong we get to dog them for a year.

I reread the posts in this thread and did not see that. Some complained that Yogi, like Crean, refer to this year as a success but that is not reading between the lines is it?
