I have gone to a game at Baylor when they and the opponent were both top 20 ranked. The game was on ESPN and the arena was half full. Right before tip the PA guy says "alright, everybody move on down" or something like that and the lower bowl was instantly full for the TV angles. I found it odd though that most of the people sitting up higher kept their coats on then when the PA guy said that and they all flocked down it seemed a regular occurrence. This was in 2011 when they went to the elite 8 so a very good team. I always thought he might look for a more passionate place at some point

I lived up in Valpo for a few years, one being the year Bryce hit the shot. Neat little oasis up in the almost "region". Was not uncommon to see Homer out and about in town. Stood and chatted with him once in a post office. I remember when Valpo played IU and there was some story about Knight and Homer getting together before or after the game to talk and it seemed they both really enjoyed the other. I wish I could find that article

Unless another wears one, I think it might be Mike Epps. I know his extended family sit back there a lot and I would not be upset if one wears one too. Woody has been great to his extended family for years and they are a tight family. I know some don't like Woody personally and could care less but I know someone well in the family and there are other sides to him as well that I have seen/heard over the years that are true too. Did not work out for a variety of reasons and it makes all the sense to move on.

Why do you think their facilities are better? Gym is newer but only seats 7,000 and the pics of the weight room look ok but IUs was better. I did not find a practice gym like Cook Hall but they probably have one. Facilities - Baylor

I don’t think he was in many people’s top 5. He got fired and no schools have hired him even as an assistant since. if the new coach wants him as an assistant great, but that is all.

Sols really? On what universe would Fife be a candidate? Would argue against Alford as well but Fife, as head coach?

Lies spewed? Come on. Message board comments are almost always speculative. What we think or what this “expert” said. Even people saying it will be this guy aren’t lying if wrong. It should go without saying that every post is someone’s opinion.

Wasn’t that the one year where we finished higher in the BT than preseason expectations? At one point we had one of the top defenses in the country. Going into year 2 he had momentum and expectations rose and from the on we underperformed. Year 2 we were projected to win the BT and still came in second but he needed success in the tournament to help seal the deal and that was a flop.

This is certainly a fair take. If the whale decided they wanted to coach college again I am hopeful he can build a staff to help with that transition. A completely different game than the one he left. He seems more willing to seek and accept help than woody did though.

Was at an Andy Mohr dealership on the Westside of Indy several years back and the salesmen looked very familiar. We got to talking in-between car talk and then it hit me that this guy looked like Randy Witman. Turns out this was his brother and after i asked if he was related he then showed that he was wearing some slacks that had a Cleveland Cavaliers logo on it. Randy gave him a bunch of stuff after he was fired from the Cavs. He even brought Andy Mohr in to try and close the sale but we did not buy the car. Hopefully Andy does not try to put us into a used Cavs coach.
