Stoked. Ready for game time. Feel like I have drank 3 gallons of the Kool-Aid. Hope this doesn't end up a day that I am chasing it with rum and coke. -

Yeah, OT hard to pass up. Plus, when the bills are paid and there are a few extra shekels in the purse, it makes Momma a lot happier on date night. -

Nate. I think we will match up better with UM than MSU, but winning at UM will be extremely tough. And IU will have to be keyed on the QB. You can defend his passing, but the IU D will have to contain him. Make them beat you in the run game with one of their RB's. IU needs to get a couple of turnovers and has to get some stops on 3rd down. Hopefully Nate will be on his game tomorrow, but if not, lets get Tre in their early. -

No, but this is one we want. Mike Ekeler was still trying to recruit him after he went to USC. This is top priority recruit for this staff. Scales may be a higher priority, but I think they really want both. -

If he had made Ivan Renko up, Renko would have come alive and Michael Jordan would always have been second best. -

His military ties include the Pentagon and Langley. His old adversaries in the KGB and the GRU now rush to curry favor with him. He has access to the NSA computers and every email, tweet, text or post that mentions anything to do with IU is sent immediately to a team of analysts who forward the pertinent and interesting tidbits on to him. Satellites under his control track all IU sports recruits and players to make sure that no movement is made without his notice. He is......the most interesting man in the world. -

This one would be hard for me to bet. We might well match up better against UM than we did MSU, but with a mobile QB we have plenty to worry about with our D.

IU vs MSU Postgame thread
HoosierReb01 replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I feel better about this game than I did right after watching it. We scored 28 points on the #1 D in the country. Nate didn't have it yesterday, but that's a soph QB for you anyway. O-line was a area I expected to be a plus this year, but injuries have made that a bit unrealistic. I suspect Suds will come out better prepared next week and we can see a more potent offense. Winning in the Big House will be just as tough. Natty is right on about the talent gap. We seem to be starting freshmen a lot, which is the result of better talent in each incoming class. That should start to balance out to a point where we have enough returning talent that they can beat out talented freshmen. Its great having freshmen that are talented enough to play, but there is just no substitute for talent that has 2-3 years in the system. Tiny pointed out that I was way too hard on the offense, and backed that up with a list of MSU scoring drives that was impressive. Granted, we faced a MSU team that had just found its offensive equilibrium, but we gave up more points to them, by a nice margin, than any other team has. We need better D. We need better D. We need better D. You can cut and paste that statement a hundred times and its just as true the next time. I think the talent gets better every year, but the number of freshmen we have playing at safety and LB tells a story about how weak that was. Tim Bennett is definitely a great find for this staff. The future is still bright, but we need to win a few more games this year. Bowl eligible would be beautiful. -
