One of the other finalists is Tark Murgeon.

If those names are on the list then the decision makers managed to find a way to be even less serious than their already low standards. If that was true then just shutter the program and turn AH into a museum for the program they killed.

OK, this has to be a troll job. No way Anthony Grany is getting serious consideration. And Shrewsberry has won like 40% of his games at Notre Dame.

I think it was ap on here that said there's things with Beard that haven't become public. If IU wouldn't touch him before the arrest I'd be completely floored if they did now.

Sits, not sleeps.

12mil on April 1.
-
Cronin would be a Crean level ceiling with more year to year consistency. With a 16mil buyout we'd better expect more than that.
-
Someone had to replace Shrewsbury.
-
It's part of the process. Woodson disrupted the process by retiring unexpectedly, gotta make sure to follow the rest of the process or Kathy will be angry.

Better be ready to cut the mic. Indiana can't resist doing something stupid.
-
Alford has failed in a big conference twice.

My prediction, we make another disappointing hire then some posters gaslight themselves into thinking it's actually a good one then we're back here in 4 years. We have to stick to the process.

Mark Turgeon - A Coaching Candidate? Or Not
JSHoosier replied to #1fanofafrin's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Step 1. Lose the press conference Step 2. Lose a bunch of games Step 3. Fire bad coach after 4 years (should've been done sooner) Step 4. Repeat We finally figured out the process. -
Mark Turgeon - A Coaching Candidate? Or Not
JSHoosier replied to #1fanofafrin's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In his coaching career he got passed the round of 32 twice, that's the same number of times he at least tied for 1st in conference. Not only would he not win the press conference he wouldn't win anything else of note either. -
Mark Turgeon - A Coaching Candidate? Or Not
JSHoosier replied to #1fanofafrin's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I can imagine the conference now. "In hiring Mark Turgeon we have made it abundantly clear that we have no interest in the men's basketball program actually winning anything, see you all in 4 years." -
Mark Turgeon - A Coaching Candidate? Or Not

I've said Stevens isn't happening, the difference is at least it's fun to think about Stevens coaching IU. -

Maybe it is Mark Turgeon, resorting to message boards after his overture to IU turned into nothing. -

I'd say holding the flame for Turgeon on an IU board is pretty weird. -
So is the thought of Mark Turgeon, IU head coach.
-
In a matter of hours we've gone from Brad Stevens to Brad Brownell and Mark Turgeon. We may not survive this search.
-
The thought of Mark Turgeon coaching IU....
-
Stop trying to make Turgeon happen, it's not going to happen.

Certainly understandable, he'd had to leave a really good gig for a job he's turned down before.

Here's the real question, when they do announce a new coach in a few weeks, do they wake Hill up for the announcement or just roll him out the door chair and all?
