According to an Auburn board that was linked he wants a basketball only facility, while Auburn shares with volleyball etc, and I think it said he wants a different apparel contract then Under Armor. Auburn just gave him an extension and raise a couple years ago to make him one of the highest paid SEC coaches.

Trilly has connections but he's been wrong before. Considering the kick to the balls the last coaching search was it could just end up with a Woodson extension.

Factor in his Knicks teams having some of the same struggles and it's more than 3 years of evidence.

That would be amazing, but let's not get excited unless it actually happens. People posted good things about Stevens and we ended up with Mike Woodson.

Woodson himself has said the 3 isn't an emphasis.

Woodson will make the needed changes, he said so. Nevermind that we're seeing some of the same problems Woodson's Knicks teams had like bad shooting and bad perimeter defense.

Darn IU program, made Crean perform so poorly he got fired from a place that cares more about football recruiting than basketball.

I'd argue that's why we need to get as proven of a coach as we can, someone like Pearl that's done it everywhere, instead of another "maybe he's here 20 years, maybe he needs fired in 4" gamble like May.

No kidding. If that's the leader, I don't want to follow him. A team leader should set a higher standard than that.

I hope some of those feelers are to Pearl's people.

And each with botched (or in this case deeply unserious) hire they have greater risk losing an entire generation of fans because younger fans have really only seen, at best, mediocrity. Hiring Woodson was just saying "whatever, screw it". If he didn't play here 40 years ago it'd be beyond laughable.

We whiffed on the ones we hired. Outside of the final four run Crean was wildly mediocre.

Indiana can't afford to keep whiffing on hires, that's why I'd prefer we get as proven as we can. I'd be thrilled with Pearl. IU could've hired him a couple time over the last 20 years probably so I don't see why they would look at him this time; plus a program that serious doesn't hire Mike Woodson period.

One win shouldn't change anything. If Indiana was that serious though they never would've hired Woodson in the first place. I'm not sure he's in that much danger to begin with, not nearly as much as he should be, for that reason; hiring him was so deeply unserious.

He wasn't consistent before getting hurt, inconsistency isn't new for him.

I was disappointed in Dolson when he hired Woodson, so not much change.
