Crap, I found an option for code and thought I could get that to work.

Going to Ortiz's locker and taking his stash of <strike>roids</strike> I mean milk shakes.

Hopefully they break the hearts of the Red Sux again.

I'll give them some credit, they finally changed the background from white offset with a slightly different shade of white.

IU Opens 8 1/2 Favorites Over Minnesota
JSHoosier replied to All_Hoosiers's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
A chip on their shoulder? So they'll be just close enough to pat the receiver on the back as he catches the ball, instead of another zip code? -
This site does a good job of breaking down the base line. It's not from the physical location of the base. It's from the runner's location. Craig could've been at the wall in foul territory, and the baseline is from him to home.
-
I'll agree it's not fair since the defender is on the ground, but by rule it's the right call. I can't believe they want to argue that he was out of the base line though. He's still allowed 3 feet on either side of the line and he was within that.
-
Now someone came back with it still doesn't make it right the call because Middlebrooks dove and he can't no longer be where he dove to. Also said since the runner was at 3rd the new base path is from 3rd to home, not including going back to second. Too bad it's not from 3rd to home, it's from the runner's location.
-
In his post he said he's read his rulebook, so if you want to argue you'd better know what you're talking about. I asked him if he happened to read the definition of baseline. The baseline is a straight line from the runner's current location, with 3 feet on either side being the base path. Yeah, that'll go over well.
-
It was the right call, but I don't pay much attention to anything Jim Joyce says. That Boston fan is now saying Craig should've been on 3rd with two out because you're awarded the base but Craig was in the line between 2nd and 3rd not 3rd and home.
-
Not surprising, a Red Sox fan friend of mine called it BS. It wasn't intentional, but intent doesn't matter and it was obstruction. Might not have been called if Middlebrooks didn't lift his legs.

IU vs USI @ 7pm ET - 10/26 - Exhibition
JSHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
And there's 13 minutes left, that's not good. Ok, I don't know if I'm getting an echo or the two announcers are talking over each other. It's annoying as hell. -

I've seen two or three turnovers so far this half, that I know. We need to get those under control. -

Well, it'd be easier to listen to if I didn't have an annoying echo every time they talk. -

Yep, it's back now. Thought I was going to have to go downstairs and turn on the radio. -

Yeah, it's just half but I'd like to have sound when the second half starts. Nothing I try is working. -

Am I the only one that lost sound around half? -

(2014) PG JaQuan Lyle to Oregon
JSHoosier replied to All_Hoosiers's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
He didn't make a commitment. The visit was never confirmed, only a possibility. Plus he's not coming from Evansville anymore, he's coming from Huntington Prep in West Virginia so it wouldn't be as easy to swing. -
That always amuses me. PU wants to talk about our "dusty banners", but their all-time lead in the series was built pre-WWII. Around 1940 to present, and we have the all-time lead.

Big Roidi's home run tonight is a perfect example of why I hate Fenway. In most parks that's an easy fly ball out, in Boston it's gone because they built the Monster 10 feet behind short.

Welcome. Even I've started posting more here than 247.

I'm okay with hiring NCAA officials instead of contractors. I'm neutral with making it 4 quarters, don't care one way or the other. I absolutely hate the idea of a shorter shot clock. I don't want it too much like the NBA, I utterly despise the crap the NBA puts on display and find it borderline unwatchable, so to me that wouldn't be an improvement.

So basically turn it into the Not Basketball Anymore? No thanks.

(2015) S Jonathan Crawford to IU
JSHoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
It'd be tough to pull him from Alabama and even FSU, but it'd sure be nice to have another 4* talent on the defensive side of the ball and especially the secondary. I could live with a S duo of Crawford and Allen, so go get him CKW. Hey, we pulled Baker even though he had an offer from Miami, a far more successful program than IU, but it's still not in the realm of a Bama offer (if/when they offer).
