Man, some people are guzzling the kool-aid like a Hummer H1 guzzles gas.   This game will be an absolute laugher.  I mean it will get ugly faster than a PU co-ed after your drinks wear off.  The game last year wasn't as close as the final score showed.

If Mallory's not fired after the PU game can we fire the person who decided to keep him?  Keeping him should be a fireable offense.

Kind of how I am about Scientology.  When you're "religion" is created by a science fiction writer, it's full of crap.

It's still a book that has been re-written numerous times, some of which were purely agenda driven to strengthen the power of rulers.   And after some research I found this, which discusses both old and new testament.  It is a lengthy video, but the description has some time points included.

The bible was also written 400 years ago in a time when society was completely different.  Women were considered second class citizens for instance.   The bible also says you can sell you sister into slavery to pay off a debt (Exodus 21:7), and essentially that foreign slaves are property that can be willed to your descendants (Leviticus 25:44-46).   You're free to your beliefs, but the bible says a lot of things that are considered wrong today because the context it was written in.

Both parents were a denomination of Christianity, and some pretty religious family members.  Not a particularly religious person myself, I have faith to some degree but also a lot of doubts.  I absolutely cannot view some things in the universe as being random because to me it looks like intelligent design (the human body, the universe itself, etc).   One thing I absolutely cannot stand is people picking and choosing when to use the bible as a weapon, while completely ignoring the context of the chapter or the way society was when those chapters were written.

Jeremy does have a habit of driving out of control, but I haven't seen him drive with his head down into a triple team yet.

I think Sr would've won at least one more title had he not gotten killed.  He had back surgery one off season, and he said he felt comfortable in the car again.  He finished 2nd in the standings the season after the surgery, and at the awards ceremony told his gas man to keep the tux because they'd win #8.  A few bad breaks in the late 80s/early 90s kept him from having 10 or 11 titles, and that's not an exaggeration.   There was a race at Bristol in the 80s, his power steering went out early and muscled the car around the rest of the race and still won.   It's never easy to compare different eras, but Sr raced against some pretty stiff competition.  Petty, Waltrip, Wallace, Martin, Labonte, et al and his stranglehold on the sport didn't slip until Gordon was at his best and even Gordon credits Sr for teaching him.

He seems to have a high basketball IQ.  Always around the ball, and in the right place at the right time.  He's also got a good looking shot, and his 3 today was in and out.   He won't be a big contributor this year.  He's one of those players that are nice to have develop and contribute when they're upperclassmen.

I pull for Jr, but that's mainly because I was a huge Sr. fan.   I'm not looking forward to the "Johnson is the best ever" crap.  Earnhardt Sr. could do things in a car no one else could do, and Johnson would've wrecked trying the pass in the grass.

They wanted to put more importance on wins.  I prefer the days when consistency was what mattered most.

Johnson is someone I get tired of hearing about.  He's won so many championships because the new point system is catered to someone like him.  Under the old system he'd have 1, maybe 2 titles right now.   Oh, and his crew has been caught cheating about as many times as UK but no one ever mentions that.

I could just picture Yogi getting in Will's face.   "Damn it, somebody get me a milk crate to stand on!"

The competition he's playing against isn't much different than the competition we're playing right now.
