The B1G changed their rule.  He can transfer in conference now and receive aide, but he has to sit out the year of eligibility and he also loses that year.

I wouldn't put much stock in #1.  His AAU team played uptempo and IIRC the style was part of the reason he committed here in the first place.

Congratulations Tyra, on being on unstoppable scoring machine.  66 points, holy crap.   I almost feel bad for the record.  Someone that can score like her only needed 2 points, the record never stood a chance of standing the only question was how much would she shatter it by.

Can he coach defense?

I wouldn't be able to play in Rip-Off Arena.  I'd get ejected in about 5 minutes, and I'm being generous.

I would actually say Tyra Buss would have the bigger impact.  Our women's team hasn't had much success, and she's a caliber player that hasn't played for IU.  If Curt Miller starts landing some more players of her caliber, we could look at her as really being the first.   Blackmon I would say has a better chance at hanging a banner though, because the men's team is closer than the women's team.  The women's team is improving but it still needs to upgrade talent in some areas (I'll say it again, we'll have a lethal back court), the men's team needs to improve in someways (cough, turnovers, cough) but it's not as much of a hill to climb as the women's team.

Well, it's a good idea.   Although the way she scores she'll have 2 points 30 minutes before tip.

I'll still watch the games.  If you expect to see much improvement from a Doug Mallory defense, you should be prepared for a massive let down.   I really don't like the standard that is set by keeping him.  Oh, we didn't have the worst defense in conference history?  There's some improvement!  We must be getting better, nevermind that the bar is so low it'd be difficult not to surpass it.
