ccgeneral replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Alrighty then... Steve Wiltfong @SWiltfong247 5m OT Lukayus McNeil is the 2nd Indianapolis-area prospect to commit to #Louisville, joining WR Cameron Polk -
Add that to the 2013 Class which was Top 30 and we should be looking good. It's early, but, so far so good. Brooks, Tbuss and Agler will make a nice backcourt.

Jessica Walter 5-11 • G • Midland, Mich./Midland Walter is a senior at Midland High School playing under head coach Elaine Mahabir. During her junior season in 2012-13, she averaged 20.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.4 steals per game, earning a number of accolades including Associated Press First Team Class A All-State honors. She helped lead Midland to back-to-back District titles during her freshman and sophomore seasons, including the school's first-ever regional title during her freshman year. Walter holds numerous school records including most points in a game (30, three times), most 3-point field goals made in a game (VIII, most points in a single season, most assists in a single season and most 3-point field goals made in a single season. As a sophomore, she averaged 12.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Walter is also a standout athlete on the track. She has played AAU basketball for Michigan Crossover for coach Emez Oliver and Midland Fastbreak for coach Mark Juengel. Walter is ranked as one of the top five seniors in the state of Michigan by many Midwest recruiting services. Lady Ballers International (Michigan only recruiting service) places Walter as the No. 1 wing and No. 5 overall prospect in the state of Michigan. Miller on Walter: "Jess is the best wing in the State of Michigan and gives us a versatile guard that can play multiple positions. I believe we got a steal with Jess as the national recruiters are not as familiar with her. I love Jess's work ethic and desire to get better. She is a tremendous shooter but seems to enjoy making the great pass even more. She brings size and athleticism to the wing position and maybe most importantly, a warrior mentality. Jess is a great leader on and off the court and I believe will play a huge role as we establish our championship locker room culture. Jess also opens the doors into the state of Michigan as she is the first Michigan player to sign with the Hoosiers since 2006. She will begin her senior year on a short list for Miss Basketball candidates in Michigan."

Maura Muensterman 6-0 • G • Evansville, Ind./Mater Dei Muensterman is a senior at Mater Dei High School in Evansville, Ind. and plays for head coach Steve Goans. In her first three years, she compiled 1,682 career points (23.0 ppg) and 545 career assists (7.5 apg). She currently ranks second on Indiana's high school career assist list and is on pace to become Indiana's all-time career assist leader. Muensterman is already Mater Dei's career all-time leading scorer and assist leader. She ranks first, second and fourth on Mater Dei's all-time single season scoring lists and first, second and third on the school's single season assists list. During her sophomore campaign, she averaged 22.2 points, 7.0 boards, 8.1 assists, 4.7 steals and 2.3 blocks per game. Muensterman is a standout volleyball and softball player and led her volleyball teams to four sectional titles and a regional championship. She played alongside fellow signee Tyra Buss for Indiana Elite-Swish under coaches Phil Kessler and Ed Saiko. Muensterman is ranked consistently as one of the top four players in the state of Indiana by all of the major recruiting services. The Midwest Girls Basketball Report (MGBR) ranks her as the 18th overall best prospect in the Midwest. Dan Olsen's Collegiate Girls Basketball Report has her as the 38th best wing in the nation. Miller on Muensterman: "Maura is the best shooter in the state of Indiana and gives us a wing player with nice size. Maura is a proven winner going 55-3 over the last two seasons and winning back-to-back state championships. Maura will begin her senior season on a very short list for Indiana Miss Basketball candidates. She is also an excellent passer who is on track to become the all-time assist leader in the state of Indiana. Maura has established herself as an elite basketball player while still excelling in two other sports. The success in all three sports is remarkable and is a credit to her competitiveness and her athletic ability. The signing of Maura also continues our commitment to recruit Indiana. Maura is the fifth Hoosier all-star and second multiple state champion to join our program in our short tenure."

Cahill sits in the top 35 in her position by many national recruiting services. Dan Olsen's Collegiate Girls Basketball Report ranks her as the No. 26 forward in the country and Prospects Nation says she is the 35th best forward nationally. The Ohio Girls Basketball Report (OBGR) has her rated as one of the top eight players in the state of Ohio. Miller on Cahill: "Amanda is one of the best perimeter shooting power forwards in the country. She is a flat out winner losing only four games in her high school career. She is the daughter of a coach and has been around the game her whole life. She brings incredible basketball IQ to our program and understands how to play the game. She has tremendous fundamentals including being an excellent passing post player. She fits perfectly into our system on offense and we look for her to make an immediate impact after the graduation of four senior post players. Amanda supported our championship culture at BGSU and now will be an integral part of the building process at Indiana. Amanda is the fourth Ohio native to join our program since our arrival last season."

Carmel to a 32-1 record with conference and regional titles. She became the first player in Illinois history to eclipse 3,000 career points as a junior. Through three seasons, Buss has scored 3,431 career points and is on pace to break the all-time scoring record in the state of Illinois. She already holds Illinois state records for most points scored in a season (1,285), most free throws made in a career (880), highest career scoring average (35.3 ppg) and most field goals made in a single season (445). Prospects Nation ranks her the No. 27 point guard and also in their top 100 nationally while Dan Olson's Collegiate Girls Basketball Report ranks her as the No. 21 guard. Miller on Buss: "Tyra is one of the most talented guards in the country. Her signing has brought an instant buzz and excitement to Bloomington and our program. Tyra has had an amazing prep career and is well known for her ability to score the basketball. Tyra is on pace to become the all-time leading scorer in the State of Illinois and is the first junior to win Miss Basketball in that state since Candace Parker. I am even more excited about her ability to impact the game in other ways. Tyra's quickness will continue to allow us to play up-tempo on offense and her relentless effort on defense will allow us to pressure the ball even better into the future. Tyra is a winner and is as competitive of an athlete that I have been around. We share a strong desire to turn Indiana women's basketball into a championship level program. Tyra is the first player from Illinois to sign with the Hoosiers since 2007."

Indiana head women's basketball coach Curt Millersigned four players to national letters of intent to join the Hoosiers in 2014 during the early signing period. The four high school standouts signing to play for the Hoosiers next season are Tyra Buss (Mt. Carmel, Ill./Mt. Carmel), Amanda Cahill (Clyde, Ohio/Clyde), Maura Muensterman (Evansville, Ind./Mater Dei) and Jessica Walter (Midland, Mich./Midland). "We are so proud to announce our 2014 signing class," Miller said. "All four are outstanding players but more importantly great character student-athletes that will represent Indiana University on and off the court. The class is full of winners as they compiled a combined 100-12 record last season including an Indiana high school state championship." "The class is full of outstanding shooters and has high basketball IQ," Miller added. "All four are equally competitive in the classroom as they all strive for academic excellence. I think the most impressive stat is three of our signees began their senior year number one in their class academically. I don't think I have ever heard of a BCS program signing three valedictorians in the same class. This class defines what we want to be about, great players, excelling students, and high character women." Link http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gD5yGl8FG74
