If they had made even a few of the shots they missed we'd be at real risk of losing this.

Was going to say I've seen YMCA teams put up more effort and accurate shots than what we've seen here today.

Cignetti, a lower division coach took a losing football program to the playoffs after a record 11-1 season, also I don't believe he chose the schedule. Next year will be tougher yes but I believe with what he showed this season our football team will continue to be successful. Now he knows too where the focus on development needs to be to get us to the next level. I have faith in the man.

Absolutely you would. Those things alone would make you infinitely better. I would do the exact same as you. A little humility and passion goes a very long way!

He's made zero effort to improve as well, he instead just shifts blame and makes excuses. Zero accountability or responsibility taken by him. That combined with the deeply talented roster that we have plus the maliciously ignorant waste of resources that IU has at its disposal would then force me to say he's the worst basketball coach out there. The team wins by their own talent because he does not coach. He is a glorified spectator with the best seat in the house. To have all that he does available to him and to do what he's doing to it, is willful incompetence and a clear sign of the administrative problems we're currently faced with. It's crystal clear why he was chosen for the position, made evident by his statements not only on senior night but in post game interviews in comparison to his choices and results. Piss poor planning provides piss poor performance. Stick that to his office door, his boys lounge door, and the administrations door.

Put most of us on this thread before another year of Woodson. Most on this thread are very knowledgeable and would do a better job than him. I understand that's a low bar with his results and behavior but it's wild that it's true. It's also pretty sad. Most of the people in this thread would have IUBB in way better shape than what Woodson does. We would at least perform our coaching duties on and off the court and wouldn't be arrogant and disrespectful to the majority fanbase. It's sad that we understand what is required to be a successful coach and he is clueless.

Woodson IS the worst coach in D1 and there's not even a debate. Only reason his record is that high is because of his weak scheduling decisions to prop himself up. His schedule both on court and in his lounge is full of cupcakes and wine(whining). Let's be real here please.

Another season of Woody...I'd rather stuff a Lego in my boots and walk around in them all day while not wearing socks to be honest.

Except Cignetti's success wasn't a guarantee, and the donors wanting access to Woodson would have pulled their money if he tried to big boy the Woodson situation after getting overruled. If Cignetti hadn't been as successful as he has been this year and donors pulled their money he'd have put us in a serious mess. From a business standpoint there was nothing he could do. He made the right move backing off from the Woodson situation because it made it glaringly obvious how big of a mistake giving Woodson another year was and he got lucky that Cignetti has done what he has and put us in the great position we are in with football. He also knew Buckner's tenure is almost over and that Woodson will be gone with him. One more tough year of basketball yes and it really sucks for the fans but we do have some very good coaches on the radar for next season, May included. And from what I've been told we could still get him if we do things the right way, not to mention there are several other good options that want the position. So I don't believe we'll be scraping for risky options unless, like I said before, people who don't need to interfere and get involved with the hiring process.

Fire Dolson because he was overruled on the Woodson hire? He hired Cignetti who made IU football great and has put us on the map where it really counts money wise. Football brings in way more revenue than basketball. If Cignetti continues to do well the Woodson mistake will be miniscule financially in comparison to what the football program will bring to the table. Buckner's tenure is over in 2025, Woodson is more than likely gone in 2025 and with the strength of the Cignetti hire the chances of Dolson getting overruled like that again will more than likely be much much lower. I personally want to see who he can bring in for the basketball program if he's actually given the ability to do so without interference and unnecessary involvement from people who don't need to be involved in the process. Give him a chance and let him do his job.

Besides IU football I'm not excited about any of my sports teams right now. IU basketball is, well, we saw what it was tonight. 49'ers suck, Lakers suck, and I'm absolutely embarrassed to admit I'm a White Sox fan after this last season. So IU football it is, at least they're having a helluva season!

I said they looked hurried and terrible. I didn't say they were hurried by the other team. Yes they had plenty of time for those open shots but they rushed themselves.

Those wide open shots came from frantically passing the ball around hoping for an open man and their form on their shots looked hurried and terrible.
