    WHO DO YOU WORK FOR?!

Would I be wrong in saying that would be embezzlement/fraud? If he knew something was off and forced the hire anyway just seems really shady to me.

    Fire Coach Woodson Thread

This is one of three things. A) A Maryland fan trolling, B) A paid Woodson shill or C) A clueless "fan" who thinks they know what's going on when in reality they are blissfully unaware of the things Woodson has said to the fan base and how he has acted overall. With the "you are not Hoosier fans" part, I would guess B. As far as finding 3 wins in that list, I can only find one, the rest are up in the air. Washington is our one, Penn State, Ohio State, and UCLA are 50/50. The only reason we beat Ohio State the first time was because they missed the buzzer beater that Woodson handed to them. So it's a 50/50 there even at home because by the time we get to that game the fanbase will not be cheering and we will see a repeat of the last few minutes today. Close games completely blown by horrible decision making has been happening quite a bit(Speaking of which, I'm seeing that a lot with Dusty May too so I'm not sold on him. Getting dragged by Purdue doesn't help his case either.) If Washington somehow makes it a close game, well then we have a good chance of losing that one too. Today we should have won. Complete and utter mismanagement of time and resources cost us that one, which has been the Hallmark of Woodson's entire tenure. The team itself played with grit, heart, and conviction today, but still ultimately lost due to the decisions made by their leader when it mattered most. That sequence was baffling and inexcusable and the fact that Woodson tried to dip without shaking hands with the opposing team is also inexcusable. I know he speaks with Isiah Thomas regularly but this isn't pre 91 and shaking hands has been the norm now for 34 years. Woodson is mentally stuck in the past. His offense, his defense, and that not shaking hands business are all archaic and outdated by several decades. Dear Pam Whitten and Scott Dolson, please make the call. It's time.

    "Really Mike? Really?"
  5. Yeah I blame Woodson for that one. The team played hard.
  6. My thoughts exactly. That was what we came up with for the final play? Yikes
  7. I'm surprised they didn't call a foul on us on that three as well.
  8. Of course that three goes in. Because why wouldn't it?
  9. Reneau, please, pass the ball. Just pass it man. Also we need Goode but he went back to the bench almost as fast as he came back in the game...ffs
  10. Just an average Draymond Green play lol
  11. If anyone watched the Tennessee vs Auburn game yesterday, refs weren't calling a single thing. It was one of the most physical games I've seen in quite awhile.

Central Florida grad, minor in sports business management. This is a troll piece just for clicks and engagement. I bet she like everyone else would LOVE for us to keep Woodson. No way she's covered the sport for 4 years, with several articles about IU's struggles already this year, and is actually clueless about why we want him gone. Can you say obtuse?

She hinted that there may be something going on with Woodson mentally. She left it at that though, didn't say anything more and wouldn't answer questions about it.

I have no idea myself. I thought she had been vetted as someone who does work for the administration but I could be wrong on that and even then, who knows how much she actually knows about the situation.

Which makes me wonder why Kathy would even nudge us in that direction instead of remaining tight lipped about it. So either she is indeed full of it or she opened a can of worms when she wasn't supposed to.

That is a possibility but I agree, who knows.

Yeah which is why I stated that it's a rabbit hole and that I didn't know if it were true or not.

That's what rabbit hole and take it with a grain of salt means. I also said throughout the og post about it that it was literal conjecture and that I didn't know if it was true or not. I could understand your reminder if I had spouted it off as if it were true but I didn't.

That's fair, I just remember it being mentioned by Kathy so like I said, rabbit hole and take it with a grain of salt. Who knows what the actual truth is.

Facts, all of them. It's been hinted at that there are psychological issues in play with Woodson. If true, I have to wonder how severe they are, and I have to wonder how long they've been affecting him. If they were present pre hiring I then have to wonder if the administration knew and allowed the hire anyway. But that's a complicated rabbit hole in and of itself. Hell this whole situation is. Who knows what the truth is as to why he does things the way he does. I just simply cannot understand how he thinks he can win without completing a single coaching task required to be successful, especially knowing who HIS coach was. It just breaks my brain. I'm not a coach and the extent of my on court experience was getting up roughly a thousand shots a day decades ago and playing one vs one against one of the actual players at my school and even I understand this stuff. I just watch our games and the whole time I'm asking myself how he doesn't get it? Even I know you can't just chuck money to hang banners so someone please explain it to me :(

Oh I know. There is zero prep, zero effort or real thought put into any aspect of his job. Most of each game he spends sitting in his chair looking completely lost as to what's happening on the court. Northwestern repeatedly abused Mgbako with threes off screens. That's preparation and being able to recognize an advantage real time. That's X's and O's. That's just one example. We're going to see a lot more examples in many different aspects of coaching in our upcoming games. Most, if not all of the teams we're heading into will recognize our weaknesses in the film room and maximize the advantages they can glean from it on court during game time.

Also dear Lord Purdookie is going to absolutely incinerate us... We're behind everyone else watching the game because we paused for dinner but Michigan looks like a bunch of middle schoolers in comparison to PU. PU will do to us what Hulk did to Loki
