At this point, we have nothing to lose, right? I can't really root for loses, but if Woodson is back for 24-25, maybe a few more wins will shift the narrative to something like "he righted the ship" and he rides off into the sunset. But I don't think he quits regardless. Too much ego.

While that might be good overall, it would guarantee a really bad season next year (24-25). But then again, there's no guarantee that we won't see a pretty bad season, either way. So, assume you are correct. Who is going to coach? And who will they coach? Doing that will give us another Dakich-esque coach and a Tom Crean rebuild year one roster.

Didn't he say earlier in the season in a post game interview that he wasn't going anywhere, and then followed that up on Senior Day with the same thing? I don't think that he has the humility to walk away. I think they're going to have to drag him out kicking and screaming when that time comes.

Where can members of the public get tickets for that one? (Asking for a friend.)

According to Woodson in the MSU post game press conference, he did his job. I'm not sure anyone got $4.2M worth of anything out of him this season. IMO, our best game was a 4-point loss at home to Kansas. Everything else screamed "massive underachievement". I have to ask the question: "what does he have on Quinn Buckner?" There has to be something more to this.

That's an interesting take. I haven't read all of NGW's posts, but they style is very different, though the bravado is similar. Both seem to think they are quite well connected to something.

I saw that Mgbako won a share of B1G freshman of the year. Would like to see him come back for another year before going pro. What's the feeling about Mgbako and Reneau coming back/not coming back? Don[t think either are NBA ready, so transfer? And if they leave, what's that do for Woodson's chances next year?

Dang, did not see that. I'm on it!

Wow! That was pretty much a scathing synopsis of the time leading up to and including "the Buckner years". Who are these boosters? Are they the regular cast of characters - the Simons and the Cooks? Interesting that it takes money, but in my opinion, said boosters would not see less of a return on their investment by simply flushing said donations down the commode. Unfortunately, it would appear that all of the fans clamoring for change has done nothing more than force the powers that be to circle the wagons.

I'm new here, but from reading some of your posts, you appear to be a big fan of your own voice. Are you the resident contrarian? I don't know what actually happened with Knecht, as I was not there, but from the media reports, corroborated with the timing of actual events (Mike Woodson's surgery, Knecht not visiting Indiana and committing to Tennessee), I'd tend to believe Pat Forde, his article and his quote of Knecht.
