None of those tournaments end on Sunday at 5:30. IIRC they all finished on Saturday

If a team is solidly in the NCAAs, there’s something to be said for the extra day or two of rest by not playing on Sunday in the BTT. Especially if you are in the Thursday/Saturday draw, having fresher legs can make a huge impact.

More importantly. No announcement of a commitment to IU

Just like Crean’s only option was to play faster. Neither coach showed the ability to change their game plans based on what the opponent was giving them and what the opponent was taking away from them.
