Before Edey there was Haarms. Before that Haas. You get the idea. That is if you seriously want to look at the pattern

Actually, he should have farted in their general direction!

Wait. His offensive strategy the last few years was to throw it into Andre the Giant and let him bully his way to the basket.

Understand, and agree in part. What you are asking for isn’t going to happen in today’s world. Back in the day, basketball was regionalized. You only saw games played in your neck of the woods. Players mostly saw a few teams. Certainly, their recruitments were influenced by this. Now, kids can watch programs all over the country and see how different coaches Coach, and interact with the players. My point is, the days of “locking down the state” are long gone. No way can a coach rely on just pulling the best players from Indiana- they have too many options

I was there as well. First season watching was 1972. The comparison holds kind of true. RMK set the bar higher than Keady ever could. The IU fanbase expectations are greater because of this. May in part explain why our fanbase is more impatient and expresses the angst that they do.

Is that what you want? A guy who doesn’t care what people think? Great way to ingratiate yourself with the high school coaches who you are recruiting from. IIRC, that was one of the reasons Crean lost his luster… he thought he was the smartest guy in every room.

    IUBB 2024/2025 HAIKU Thread

There once was a coach from Broad Ripple Who after losing wanted only to tipple The fans blew a fuse As the team continued to lose While coach paced the court like an old cripple ( alternate version: while coach sucked on Quinn's big fat nipple) take your pick * * Yes, before the comments come, I realize this isn't a Haiku. The muse called Stuhoo inspired me.

    Classic IU Games Thread

This was my favorite game as well. The pre-game narrative was all about how whether IU could slow down the Runnin’ Rebels. Instead of playing a slow paced game, Knight had us play at their pace and we beat them at their own game.

I find it really interesting, but not surprising that you would continue pushing this nonsense down people’s throats. Not once, but multiple times you have made sure to point out that I was banned from another site- your so - called insider information, when you have no idea what actually happened. But you couldn’t stop at one time, but had bring it up multiple times. I have no intention to explain the real story, because it’s not worth it. But you are no different than the people you accuse of being trolls.

Probably true, but you are parsing your words. They may not “officially “ interview anyone. Doesn’t mean they won’t have conversations. Comes across as less smarmy if the announcement has already happened

Don't know what the rules of this board are when it comes to solicitations. Certainly, someone here could set up a GoFundMe account or something similar. We also would have to find someone to write the petition

    Name, Image & Likeness (NIL)

I was listening to Dusty and Danny on Sirius this morning and they mentioned some country singer who is a Notre Dame fan and threw out the idea of having a concert with all the gate being donated to the ND NIL coffers. Evidently Bon Jovi piped in and said he was in as well. D and D then went on to mention a few other performers who are big college football fans and whether this could become a thing. So, other than Mellencamp, who else could support IU in a meaningful way?

I kinda looked into this idea. At least per their website, the Herald-Times charges $662 for a full page ad. I’d be willing to pony up some cash if someone here with good writing skills ( not Scotty R) would want to write a petition to Dolson and the board.

For you no ex -IU guy advocates. If, for some reason Dolsen gets caught up in the purge, I would take Chris Reynolds as AD in a heartbeat

Anyone Still Want to ‘Fire Scott Dolson’?

This is all fine to pass the time talking about this while we wait for Woodson to get let go. But there’s no way, after the football season we just had, that Dolson is in jeopardy. For the majority of college athletics, football is driver of the athletic department. IU is just now joining that party. The success of Cig and his program is going to far overshadow the basketball program
