Asking again as it may have gotten buried. Anything pertinent with the Malone visit? -

With this news on Thiero, does that mean that any offer to Malone has been put on hold? Is his visit over? -

I lived there through the pre- Alvarez era. At that time it was hockey first and everything else was a distant second

Crean was a throw it against the wall and see what sticks, kind of recruiter. He would have overpaid Tim Priller to join the program. He would have bankrupted the process on The Movement. -

Tim Garl Close to the program but he is not affected by staff changes so can speak openly without repercussions -

I quoted this a week or two ago. The other two guys were from non-P5 schools and ranked in the 80’s out of the top 100. I didn’t recognize/don’t know their names either -

IMO, Essegian is a better offensive player than Leal, but AL's value is really in being the coach on the floor guy, the guy who makes sure that everyone is in the right place, especially on defense. The guy who makes little plays, steals, deflections, disruptions, that help win games, and that he is better at than CE. -

I agree that we need another shooter or two. One might already be on the roster. Two years ago, TG had excellent shooting statistics. Last year, he fell off considerably. I have to think that with the addition of Rice and hopefully Carlyle, the onus on Troy will lessen considerably. Not having to be the primary ballhandler and not having to guard the opposing teams' best player might do wonders in keeping Troy fresher. Not playing as many minutes will help keep him from wearing down. I don't know that he will return to the shooting numbers from two years ago, but I feel confident he will shoot better than las year. -

If the reports are to be believed, and there will be more high end guys entering the portal soon, I wouldn’t be in a huge hurry to sign a guy like Essegian. But, if it came down to these types of players I would much rather have the guy from Dayton who shot 49% from 3 -

Malone is #50 on Grace. Btw, he attended Prairie Heights High School, which is where my kids would have gone had they still been school age. PHHS is a really small school, and it would be amazing if this guy could play high D1 ball. -

All this talk about rosters, minutes, etc. Is Newton an afterthought, or just being written off? If he is recovered, I see him competing for guard minutes -
For anyone who travels the area… On a Saturday morning would I be better taking 475 around Cincinnati coming from the west or go straight into the city on 74 and get to 75S that way?

Don’t know if there is a thread for this kind of news or maybe one should be started… Clingan from UCONN has entered the draft.

Can a player receive NIL and not be on scholarship? I would rather not lose Cupps, but if it was possible, could Leal keep his money, and stay on the team as a non-scholarship player? -
True...the head coach just retired as well.

Per the NCAA website, only 3 freshman were in the top 100 in regards to 3 point shooting percentage this past season. Sheppard was #1 at over 52%. The other 2 guys were ranked in the 80’s at around 35%. Neither of them were on P5 teams.
