I watch Purdue and other schools more nowadays and don’t make it home for IU games. Kentucky was amazing with Shepard. I mean so many other teams that develop kids that we don’t do at all. Calipari taking kids that were ranked near 150 and making them starters. Care less and less every year. Three seasons of double digit losses and this is IU basketball at its best….Jesus Christ. Our margin of error has been thin every year with how we play. Inside two bigs leads to less threes. Plus we have shot it horribly. Add in free throws and we have always had a thin margin of error. Top it off with defense getting worse every season and even a thinner margin of error.

It’s also been three years of the same issues coming out majorly in year three as well. If you go back to the convos I would be willing to bet the same complaints every year are the same this year just worse. It’s always wait until he gets his players, etc.

It’s his system. McNeeley if Woodson stays will play the three and will be abused offensively and defensively. He is a college four. He won’t be able to guard the three and he will not be utilized to his strengths as a three other than standing around like Woodson has done for the most part here.

I think he is a decent shooter if he is getting the right shots and not getting high volumes. It’s about him being set. He isn’t prospering in this system because it doesn’t fit him. I would bet that if Trey left he would contribute to a winning team, be a starter and do well. Woodson always tries to fit a square into a round hole. Doesn’t change nothing. More Woodson than Trey.

Or it’s a system issue. Woodson has no movement off the ball. He has a ceiling in college and it isn’t very high. The same thing we complain about the NBA fans complain about him. Put Galloway in a system where he can be utilized for his strengths and you have a very valuable asset.

Purdue is a pleasure to watch unlike us. Painter really is the best coach in the conference now. Gets Indiana kids and develops the talent. Can lose his best players and doesn’t lose a beat. Kind of sad that I am writing this.
