    2024 IUFB Season

Depending on the severity of the fracture, it's a 3-6 week recovery.

You can absolutely bleed from a bone fracture. I've experienced it first hand. No clue if his thumb is broken or not but I don't believe having surgery would rule out a potential break or fracture. If he plays against Michigan State it probably wasn't a fracture, but I'll believe it when I see it.

    That just isn't true.

Really? I would think surgery indicates that there was at least some type of fracture. To what degree who knows but just seems odd that he would be ruled out immediately Sunday morning without any type of break.
  5. Will it though? I’d go as far as to say there’s a world where 4/5 starting spots are already secured next year: Rice, Carlyle, Tucker, and Reneau. You need a starting big (which seems to be Woodson’s niche), another 4/5 type big who can play 20-25 mpg off the bench and then 1-2 depth pieces to compliment Cupps, Newton, and Sisley. God forbid Goode gets a 5th year.
  6. Of course high school recruiting still matters. But losing out on Braylon Mullins is far from the end of the world. In fact, I’m not sure it’s even worth losing sleep over. IU missed out on their top 3 targets last year and arguably ended up coming out much better because of it.
  7. The way he constructed his roster last year isn’t remotely close to the way he constructed his roster this last year. Last year he added two Freshman and 3 transfers; Ware, an unproven but ultra-high ceiling prospect, along with Sparks and Walker who were never intended to be anything more than depth/rotational pieces. This year he added 3 high-level, productive P4 transfers who all have a legitimate chance to play in the NBA and one of the better shooters in the country in Luke Goode. And that doesn’t even include 5* freshman Bryson Tucker. The way the two rosters were constructed are so far apart that they aren’t even comparable. Striking out on Fland, Queen, and McNeely means we’re starting 21 year old Myles Rice, 23 year old Ballo and 20 year old returning B10 FOY Mgbako instead of starting three 18-19 year olds. I’ll take that all day long.
  8. Of the 7 new players, 1 is a freshman and only 4 are expected to be apart of the rotation. Nobody plays 12 or 13 guys. You’re crazy if you think adding 4-5 new faces a year is outside the norm. It’s standard practice in this climate.
  9. BS. Woodson added one transfer who made any kind of impact and he was a lottery pick. Woodson’s biggest failure last year by far was not using the portal ENOUGH. Needed a guard or two to compliment the front court.
  10. I have no shame calling a Purdue or Kentucky fan a clown. Doesn’t take much effort to read through your nonsense and call it out as such.
  11. You rooted for IU to lose and declared you weren’t watching this year. Your opinion should be valued the same as a Purdue or Kentucky fan.
  12. I’ve given my expectations for this team on multiple occasions and they haven’t changed.
  13. Glutton for confrontation? No, just clearing up a garbage take.
  14. "Woodson isn't good at landing high school talent" Two consecutive B10 FPOY begs to differ. And we aren't Duke and haven't been in 30 years. If the barometer for success in high school recruiting is bringing in five 5* recruits a class then every other coach in America is bad at landing top high school talent. You're a walking bad take and this somehow trumps them all.
  15. Is this cycle over? JHS, Mgbako, Tucker. That's three consecutive cycles of landing a 5*. Two straight B10 FOY of the year. Yeah, Woodson is horrible at landing high school talent.
  16. I missed the rule where a late spring de-commit is forced to attend IU.
  17. Sorry, **3 consecutive seasons, Tamar Bates fell just outside the 5* range. But I digress, Woodson doesn't have an issue getting top high school talent to Bloomington.
  18. Woodson has landed a 5* in all 4 recruiting classes...
  19. Nah, that's what will be said about many of the proclamations in the other thread
