What did I say that was wrong. I didn't bash anyone but I feel they are just playing with your emotions

Man I was off if here for two hours and can't catch up. So RTZ is backing off of that everything is dead They probably just want to keep the clicks coming for the website

All I have to say is how many coaches, administrators and presidents have we had the last 25 years. It is always their fault and most of it is their fault but I think the fans need to look at themselves and see we can do a better job of supporting the players and coaches.

The last few years I stayed part of the problem in our coaching searches are because of the fan base. Our fan base is great but also can be a hindrance as well. I see posters say certain candidates can't handle the demands and stress of this job. My question what makes our job more demanding and stressful than other top jobs. On the court basketball is basketball no matter where you are at. So the only thing that could make it more demanding is the off the court stuff and isn't part of that is the fan base high expectations and wanting the coach to be out there in the public eye. I am not saying it is the only problem but we need to look at ourselves in the mirror and see that we might be a small part of the problem getting better coaches to come here That plus that top coaches don't leave their current jobs

RabJohn's was just on 107.5 here in Indy 1) He was asked about Stevens and he said that a couple of donors he talked to said that Stevens was a silent verbal. He said he totally don't believe and don't see that happening. 2) He was asked if he was given a choice of McCollum and Brownell or the field and he said right now he would say McCollum or Brownell over the field. He would put that at 55/45

I wouldn't think anything will be done until after our last game or our new coach last game.

So what time is this bombshell supposed to drop
-
Why couldn't McCollum replicate what Kelsey did at UL. It isn't like Kelsey had all of this recruiting connections being at mid major program
-
That Woody is coming back for a 5th season? LOL

Why do you have to be such a tool

I have a question for everyone on here. What will you do if the coach that is hired is a coach you are not in favor of? I just hope every fan will support whatever coach is hired and fully give him a chance. There are a few I am not in favor of and if by chance one of them are hired I will support that coach and give it a chance. If it is Beard I will pray he has changed and trust that Dolson did a thorough background check

Instead of worrying about being able to get 5 star players I want a coach who can identify and develop talent that fits into his system. McCollum probably won't land many 5 stars at least at first but I would have confidence he can get guys who are a notch below them. I see no reason he couldn't get talent on the level of Purdue right now those players would fit McCollum's system. I don't look at all the advance metrics but some math guy at IU guy said the lineup of 1 big with Goode,Leal, Galloway and Rice has a better offensive rating than Duke has. I guess what I am saying is that you don't have to have a roster of 5 star players to be effective.

I would bet he would put a lot more effort in recruiting than Woodson did. Woodson still got his share of top players despite having to be told to go out and recruit.

I think 8-10 years ago Oats was coaching high school basketball then went to Buffalo and now is at Alabama. So he didn't have big time experience.
-
I think more teams will go with a GM because there is to much work for the HC to do all of the recruiting. Wasn't it mentioned in the Stevens rumors that he wanted a GM.
-
I rather look at reality over random Internet rumors
-
SMH Woodson No Archie No Crean No I wouldn't say leaving Marquette is leaving a top job. It would be equivalent to a coach like McDermott leaving Creighton Sampson yes Also if you look at the college landscape the last few years will show you it doesn't happen often.
-
Well UK couldn't get their top choices or UL. UK probably has as much money as we do and their job is better than ours. Most coaches won't mess with winning or happiness so why would they leave their current jobs
-
They also say you move on when he says no
-
I still don't understand how some of you are surprised that other power conference coaches are not knocking our door down to coach here. Has the other hires in the last few years not prove to you it isn't likely you will get another top coach to leave their jobs.
-
Comments like this is why I hate the rumors posted on here that never have been verified. The only place I have seen Stevens as a legitimate candidate are on our message boards. Every national college basketball analysts I have seen just laugh at the notion of Stevens leaving the Celtics for the IU job.

There is no such thing as a sure thing.so you just have to take a risk sometimes. So show me in the last 5-10 years where all of these top coaches have left their current power jobs for another one. Calipari to Arkansas and he left more to get out of UK Can't think of to many more off the top of my head
