So how do you know it wasn't the coaches who decided to move on No one on here has a clue what goes on in the recruiting.process
-
What coach did you talk to that told you how much we wanted him. Just because some do called insiders say something it doesn't mean it is true.
-
How about Reneau

I would truly hate to live the way some of these guys look at things. I am not saying everything is great and we will have a great season. On April 21st it is way to early to be stressing this much about next season
-
SMH, now you are moving the goal post. First you said you haven't seen player development for a long time. We have proved that wrong so now you are saying guys who didn't play much. I don't know how old you are but there was a time that freshman couldn't play. Also back in the day freshman wasn't expected to play much and be a key player. For a long time you see freshman make a big jump as sophomores even when they saw limited action. I see guys like Banks, Gunn and Ware show great improvement from their first season. I think if healthy , Newton will contribute and Cupps will as well. We also have plenty of time to bring in a few more players.

Well how about Galloway, XJ improvement through this first year. Kopp got better on tbe defensive end I know you look at things that fit your narrative about how bad this program is going to be but let's look at things objectively. Next year might be a disaster but at this time no one knows how this team will develop. We won't replace TJD production but if can be more of a balance team offensively and the team gells we can win in other ways.

If you can't see the improvement of his overall game the last two years then you don't know what you are watching.

I am glad some of you doom and gloom guys weren't Kansas St fans because your head would have exploded last summer. They fired their coach and everyone but two players left the program. On July 2nd they had two players on their roster and hit the portal and none of them wete consdired big time players. The one that might have been hadn't played for two years because he collapsed and almost died on the court

A lot the last couple of years. What does coaches before Woodson has to do with player development with these players. I would say TJD improved his overall game immensely the last two years. I thought JHS improved throughout the year. Galloway develop an outside shot last off season. I thought XJ really improved the last half of last year and if not for an injury would have gotten even better this year. I saw improvement from Kopp this past year especially on the defensive end.. I get it some people with look at a glass half empty where others see the same glass as half full. I just don't get why people 7 months from the season is already looking at things as doom and gloom. For me looking at things like that would be a lousy way to live

How do you or any of us really knows how much we want a recruit. Just because we reached out doesn't mean that we totally went all out for a recruit
-
I am not talking about basketball but the real David vs Goliath which o lay happened once
-
I guess current players can't develop and the new players can't be better than expected. I have seen teams lose great players and we're better without them. I am not saying we will but it is possible and rather look for positives instead of always looking for negatives. Purdue lost Ivey a top 5 pick plus two there starters and they ended up having a better year.
-
I wouldn't call Knecht a loss because we we not really involved with him
-
I rather be David because he beat Goliath and isn't winning is what you want
-
How do you know that next year will be a down year. The season is 7 months away and plenty of players still in the portal. Everybody thought Purdue would have a down year last year after losing to Ivey but ended up being better
-
Why not worry about it when or if it happens. So far Woodson has us going in the right direction and next year doesn't start for 7 months
-
So you are saying once you lose momentum then you can never regain it. Let's look at a HOF coach Jay Wrights first 11 years at Villanova. You will see a lot of ups and downs on these years. 19-13 15-16 18-17 24-8 28-5 22-11 22-13 30-8 25;8 21-12 13-19 20-14
-
If you can predict the future, tell us what the lottery numbers will be this wrek. How is the momentum gone. We improved this year from last year and made the tournament both years. We have no clue how we will play next year and our roster is far from set.
-
That wasn't an option

Thank goodness, no reason s college game should take 4 hours. Now if they could something with all the TV timeouts
-
I hope that happened because if anyone leaks info from inside the basketball office that is a major problem. I think this is how rumors get started The janitor in the basketball office over hears a conversation that they like Ledlum and he is interested in coming to IU. The janitor goes home to tell his son and the son goes to the school and tell all of his friends. The friends goes home to tell their fathers and one of the fathers know an insider and they tell the insider that we lead for Ledlum To me it is probably like the game we use to play in school where you line up 10 people You tell the first person something and by the end of the line it is total different.
-
Besides the tournament results I would love to have their regular season results. The question is this if you tell me with either scenario we don't win a championship which season would be more entertaining. 1) go like 26-5 and win the conference but lose on the first or second round 2) go 19-12 finish 6th in the conference but go to the sweet 16 or even the elite 8. Would you rather be happy for 4 months and have 1 bad day or do you want have a stressful 4 months and have a good 2 weeks
-
To me we are a blue blood but not elite program at this time. To me when I hear blue blood it is about the history of the program and their accomplishments over a long period of time. To me an elite program is how your program is currently perceived. The problem is today's kids don't care about history but they care about the present.

I assume he from out West so maybe isn't really interested in living in Indiana
-
To me we didn't lose our because he didn't even come for a campus visit or a home visit. Just reaching out and talking with a player isn't that in depth of the recruiting process.
