Does anyone know anything about Newton? Timeline, plans to play this year, strengths?

I'm not a huge griper but there is a bone to be picked. These players and staff wear RMK on their jerseys and shirts, which is a relatively new happening, but they've played and prepared like it isn't there. If you're going to wear the greatest preparer of all time initials on your chest don't play so damn lazy and show your obvious lack of preparation!! Offensively you are allowed to struggle, that can be fixed. But offensive boards have killed IU all 4 games this year and it's an effort/fundamental based mistake. Teams have shot a ton of 3's against us resulting in long rebounds, where are the senior guards at. Team captains, block out!!

How much better of a team would we be with only one of MM and MR starting? Spacing, speed issue. Also gives the bench unit a bucket getter. As Stuhoo has said, it's not who starts it's who finishes. Galloway has to look for his shot and become a playmaker. I enjoyed that Woody called out effort and playing hard in his postgame. We are more talented than 10+ B1G teams by a lot. We are not as young as everyone is letting on, albeit new, but not young.

He is 20lbs of muscle away from being absolutely dominant. If you look close at a zoom in of his forehead there's big bold letters that say NBA written on there.

Not trying to be snarky at all by saying this, but with as much as IU switches on D - does it even really matter if he's a 3 or 4

You nailed it - captains are going to have a handful of games this year with 18 minutes played in 2H. Hummel talked about that during the game, thought he made a good observation in saying that X and Galloway saw TJD as a captain and what all comes with it and now they have to bare that same weight. Last January/Feb 33mpg for TJD was literally a light day

I wouldn't care to watch with DD but watching DD as commentator was one of my favorites. Loved when he went on the court during TOs.. Very educational

No offense to Bates but he's one of the Non-con superlative players in my mind. Will have true judgement on his progress during conference play.

He certainly can be. Banks, Gunn, Sparks all have ability to be a catalyst game by game as well. This is what makes IU so dangerous, any given night a new guy off the bench has the ability to wreck opponents gameplan. IU has the opportunity for diversification of lineups that we haven't had in my fan career (20 years). Then you add in guys like Gallo Cupps and X who defensively are smothering and make hustle plays routinely.. MM/Ware can go off scoring on any given night. I've said it before on here and I'll say it again, Indiana and Mike Woodson have been DISRESPECTED nationally. Commentators talked about IU's cohesiveness all offseason and talked up MSU.. It's INDIANA it's INDIANA
