I'm all for Pearl, but Dusty is #1. If he hits big over the next decade IU fans are going to explode - rightfully so

If he gets boos at home games, has family and friends on X, has a staff/donors that are in contact with him daily... and still doesn't have it figured out he's either A) Oblivious toward the life that surrounds him (no fault there I am as well) B) The most confident man in Indiana You lose the fan base, it's over. It's QB, AD, and CMWs choice to let it bleed out slowly or pull the plug. I'd love for him to simply retire. As a man I really enjoy him, he's fun to listen to and he is respectable by all means. I want him to advise and stay around the program, come to games etc - just don't want him to be the head honcho because he's not at the level that I want IU to be at. Certainly someone in his circle can say, "Hey Woody.. The fans really want you gone, your players are transferring away, and you'd enjoy your life much more on a golf course than in an AAU gym this summer"

You have to think Woodson wants out at this point as well. His team is allegedly leaving him, his in-season results have been mediocre at best, and the off-season is a grind that takes away from hobbies and family. All of this while a fan base is overwhelmingly imploring the AD to fire/retire him. I know he's fighting it, or someone on his behalf, online due to the new X accounts that are GOING AFTER(!) anyone who mentions Woodson's need for being retired. The bots (not BOTs) are out in full force. Seen it once before... coach gets fired shortly after. Come on Chris make it happen, fire Woodson!

I can see where many think like this and I certainly do not enjoy the Mike Woodson experience, but I can think of several B1G coaches who are woefully worse than what Woodson has done in 3 years. He's not awful, but not great. We want great. Fran, Hoiberg, Johnson, Holtmann, Piekell, Howard, Gard all below or near Woodson's output. At most universities Woodson would be totally safe.

Hope my comment on Christianity isn't taken wrong here - if Pearl is the coach I am equally ecstatic. Chrisitan, Jew, Atheist, Flying Spaghetti Monster all good here. Just win baby!

TBH I don't know a ton about life around Btown aside from obvious college lifestyle. I do know that if he came and won big and then told fans about Jesus Christ in the presser that attendance would go up on Sunday's in Indiana

I understand freedom of religion and diversity equity and all that jazz but as a Christian - I'd love it. Win at basketball and have a voiceful Christian to lead the program and put up bookoo points would be very satisfying personally.

If IU wins out + 2 in BTT puts them at 20-13 before the championship. Is that good enough to get them in?
