Not sure how accurate it is, but Colorado is throwing around some cash. Sorry if its already been shared.

That is an apples and oranges comparison. These aforementioned coaches didn't have the luxury of NIL and Portal. Like I said previously, after year 2 or 3, you pretty much know the trajectory of your program. Here's hoping year 4 is a success.
-
Not sure if you're calling me asinine, but I actually agree. Didn't you just say that it's stupid to declare a coach a failure after 3 years. So people are stupid and asinine if they can't keep up with your own contradictions? In today's landscape, I don't think any of the coaches mentioned would have had the same leniency as they had then. CMW has everything he needs this year to be successful. Year 4. No excuses.
-
Out of curiosity, what's your criteria on how long to give a coach to prove himself. I've always thought at least give them the full 4 year recruiting cycle. But with how NIL and the portal are, you should have a pretty good idea if they are going to be successful in year 2 or 3.
-
Now all he has to prove is, can he win with all of those players who truly like him, and the ones he gets to the next level. This year will definitely answer everyone's questions. I personally believe this will be a top 15 team, who should compete for BIG and at least S16(minimum).

RJ Davis, Coleman Hawkins, and Hunter Dickinson seem like they've been in college for a decade. Really enjoyed the breakdown on MM. Hopefully his agility/quickness has improved enough to be a great 3 level scorer. He definitely showed signs of being able to, just wasn't quick enough, or confident enough to get to his spots sooner.

Honey, I'm 100% committed to this relationship. But, I am going to take these other 2 girls out on a date. -
Creepiest opening ceremony in my 50+ years of watching. WTH

Who cares how the fans view the future. The Pacers have a good blend of veterans and young talent. A number of the teams you mentioned, have some of the oldest rosters in the league. Most of their older players are important role players, but Butler, Dame, Horford, and Lopez are key pieces whose better years are behind them. On the other hand, the Pacers have one of the youngest rosters, and none of their best players are over 30.(Turner?) So if fans have a "skewed" view of the future, maybe they're onto something.

(2025) - PG/SG Kiyan Anthony to Syracuse

Not a surprise -
Agree on the lucky part, but to downplay the significance of missing your 4th best scorer(#1 bench scorer)is laughable. Does it really matter what path they took to get to the ECF, you could go back and say that with many sports/teams through the years. You play who is in front of you.
-
Weren't the Pacers missing a 15 pt scorer throughout the playoffs? And didn't our best player miss 2 playoff games?
-
For the umpteenth time, you're still in the Fire Mike Woodson thread! I'm okay with giving him another year (deserved or not), because we don't a choice. But isn't it okay for people to still want him fired? Roster construction is just one issue, of many. All the questions will be answered from November-March.

My guess, anyone that had an open look. At least keep the defense honest. The more attempts you take, the more opportunities you get without being double teamed on the block. We had 7 guys average above 30% on 3's last year(and Trey was not one). Not great by any stretch, but shoot the damn ball.
