This dudes a competitor and he loves a challenge. I see no reason for him(with his age) to want to be anywhere else than Bloomington Indiana, on a fall Saturday night, playing games that matter. Not many places in the country can replicate it. Unless he's always had a dream job in mind, Bloomington is the perfect place for him and his family. Only 3 games in and we're creating a national buzz, and now is when we start filling up the stadium and showing recruits we're serious. This does nothing but help our basketball recruiting either. They love visiting during football season.

(2025) QB - Julian Lewis to Colorado (for now)
J34 replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
If we're going to pay a freshman a couple million dollars, why don't we just throw Arch whatever it takes to get him here and a guaranteed starting job. I believe I read where he's making 2.8m. Speaking of making a splash. One can dream -
Not sure how true this is, my buddy sent this to me.

Will Lewis at 6'1 and a freshman, be that much better than Jackson or Cherry next year. I believe he also dropped in his rankings from last year. Would he be worth spending $2 million dollars on? I don't know the answer, but someone with a little more insight might. -

I don't need to be there. I will always root for whoever is coaching my team. The definitions of fair play and honesty, are not giving your opinion, then if someone disagrees with your statement, call for cover. BTW- your analogy of murdering someone is a little disturbing, and I know someone who would run to safety, if it came out of others mouths. WayneFleekHoosier stated apples to oranges, you gun to knife? SMDH

You do realize no one is falling for your bait anymore. Stirring up stuff, then running to the Mods, because your feelings got hurt. Back to the "The do not fire Mike Woodson" thread, I hope he has a good Return on the Investment, and has a great season. If not, I'll see you in "The fire Mike Woodson" next year.

Actually, if you go to the proper thread, it was discussed. Nice try though.

(2025) - PF Eric Reibe to UConn
J34 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
We also have 2 other recruits he will be joining on his visit. One who is supposedly an IU lean. May be 33% chance going in, but probably 50-50 afterwards. Him moving his visit up 2 weeks to join these two is probably not by coincidence. -
The Raiola kid is going to be fun to watch!

Braylon Mullins (2025) SG - to UConn

Reibe moving up his visit 2 weeks, joining BM and TS, seems like something might be brewing. Or maybe it's just a coincidence. lol -

Not sure how accurate it is, but Colorado is throwing around some cash. Sorry if its already been shared.

That is an apples and oranges comparison. These aforementioned coaches didn't have the luxury of NIL and Portal. Like I said previously, after year 2 or 3, you pretty much know the trajectory of your program. Here's hoping year 4 is a success.
-
Not sure if you're calling me asinine, but I actually agree. Didn't you just say that it's stupid to declare a coach a failure after 3 years. So people are stupid and asinine if they can't keep up with your own contradictions? In today's landscape, I don't think any of the coaches mentioned would have had the same leniency as they had then. CMW has everything he needs this year to be successful. Year 4. No excuses.
-
Out of curiosity, what's your criteria on how long to give a coach to prove himself. I've always thought at least give them the full 4 year recruiting cycle. But with how NIL and the portal are, you should have a pretty good idea if they are going to be successful in year 2 or 3.
-
Now all he has to prove is, can he win with all of those players who truly like him, and the ones he gets to the next level. This year will definitely answer everyone's questions. I personally believe this will be a top 15 team, who should compete for BIG and at least S16(minimum).
