In no way is this a defense of CTA, but IU football hasn't had a coach with a winning record since Bo McMillan (1934-1947). Allen is not the answer, but I don't know who is!

You lost me at "world class" coach. With the talent he's had through the years, and no final fours, I'd go with a good coach, and better person. Investing so much energy worrying about our roster, a full season before our projected best team in awhile, is not good for your health. We'll know more about our coaching, recruiting, and overall future after(or mid-season) the season.

So what we're saying is CMW can't coach or recruit? The 22-23 season hasn't even started yet, and we are talking about recruiting failures for next season. The common sense approach, would be to see how this season plays out, and then see who we end up with, once the dust settles. Put a winning product on the floor, and players will come.

It's fun to play the coulda,woulda,shoulda game. But with the staff we have now, and the NIL, we have every opportunity to become a "blueblood" again. On court success this year, is imperative.
