Well, after Michigan beats Illinois IU football may not be quite as good as Michigan football but today was more than just another moral victory vs Michigan State. Does IU football have the most moral victories in major college football? -

A win today gets T. A. off the hot seat for a week. And if IU beats Purdue things would be positive for T. A. going into 2023 season. which leads me to think there would be 1 or 2 more wins (Maryland, Nebraska, Rutgers) in 2022 if coaching staff would have motivated Dexter Williams as starting QB back in August…even though I think there was a question of how hard he worked since he felt he was not going to be the starter and IU depending on passing game which went off the rails. Don’t see how IU beats Purdue? -

IU football thinking…So if Illinois beats Michigan and IU football fans slept from Illinois game until today does that mean IU football is better than Michigan football. -
Lacks in recruiting as well like all other IU coaches to play major league. IU often gets many left overs that high level schools don’t want as the nucleus of team but rather back ups.
-
Coach Tom Allen wins the lottery (like others). In 2006 T.A. Was a high school teacher and coach. Then, he started his journey through the small college ranks and later had some success on the defensive side of the ball at a couple major colleges. That’s it. In conclusion coach T. A. won a financial lottery at IU. (Tom Crean and Archie Miller) (like many others at various/different places and circumstances others have won similar financial lotteries of their own). (P.S. Even before becoming a head coach T. A. was making good/decent money). T.A. is a financial success for him and his family. I don’t blame him one bit for that. He just took advantage of the opportunity/s presented to him.

Some call it luck play…but how often do you see IU football make a so called luck play or unbelievable great play…? Some teams average at least two or three per game to go along with overall high level talented solid play. I can’t remember but did coach T.A. say this year he was going to be more involved with the defense? Defense or offense it doesn’t matter….The writing is on the wall whether it is sooner or later. -

Is there any way to post “post game press conferences” on btown banners??? from utube on IU women basketball games…is that possible. I think a healthy Brown and getting some time will play. It must be a serious enough injury that is keeping her from playing. I have always liked a lot her team attitude. Yes T. Moren and staff WANT and are now able to get talented 6’0”+++ bigger and taller guards. Shorter guards have to be extra talented. -
IU Football has committed several million $ to wrong choices and wrong personnel
TTT replied to TTT's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I don’t think recruiting talent in football is ignored at IU (I think IU tries to get very high level talent) but the high level talent in most cases will not come to IU but go to a higher level football programs. There is an exception here and there. This leaves IU football lacking in most positions considering the high level schedule they play. Then, throw in lack of player development. However, often a 3 star player (just lacks just a little in ability, skill, speed, etc) tries to develop into a 4 star type player while a 4 star player (with just a little more ability, skill, speed, bigger and better etc) tries to develop into a 5 star player. This equals a losing IU football program because many IU players just lacked and still lack just a little to play in a higher winning level program so often they become an important player at IU. There are a few exceptions but not enough to make IU football a high level team to play major league football. -
Decision makers for IU football have committed several millions of $$$ to its football program. They seem to always have this sustainability to make the wrong choices and decisions so things have never positively worked out. Latest examples. Why isn’t isn’t Kalen DeBoer and Michael Penix currently in IU football program? Why didn’t Peyton Ramsey finish career at IU? Then Coy Cronk situation (why didn’t he finish career at IU)? Lack of Offensive line? Recruiting is not up to par and transfer portal is not helping IU football and LEO only works if it can be backed up with winning just like anything else? Players mentioned were team captains including an excellent coach. Excuses include better opportunities for coach. Playing time, injuries, disgruntled and new environment for players. Just many wrong choices and decisions = (losing difference makers) that equate into winning vs losing.

Agree to the extent at this point whatever is working…and if it’s not broken no point in trying to fix it for now. Could Garzon be better off the bench as well? -

Not a trap game….could be thoughts of inserting S P. into starting lineup though she is playing like a starter if T. Moren feels it’s time in her transitional process from O to IU. and Garzon will continue to get just has many minutes…Garzon knee may have got bang a little bit in Tennessee game. -

IU Football has committed several million $ to wrong choices and wrong personnel
TTT replied to TTT's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I never thought recruiting was all that good enough. It improved for IU who was already at more losses than any other major college football program….(so improved from what). It improved enough to compete for MAC level or mid major championship. However, it’s the same old story IU football lands towards the bottom of a league in big ten east. (and IU football is in the loss column to any good non conference team). -

No Horston I this one for Tennessee. When Brown comes back does she back up Holmes and move Geary to back up wings…could be situational. Biggest take away…IU Ladies won this one @ Tennessee and shooting sub par from 3 ball. Garzon✔️ needs to continue to come along and Parrish ✔️is playing well and will come along including ft and 3 point shooting as season progresses. Scalia ✔️will come along in 3 point shooting. Holmes✔️ Berger✔️ Moore-McNeil✔️ And the young bench will role play when called upon Bargesser ✔️ Meister✔️…and Peterson and rest of bench -

How to win qb job at IU? Complete a pass? It’s November 12 towards end of quarter 1of football season. After careful analysis and evaluation of qbs IU coaching staff throughout several weeks and even months (after falling behind 21-0 in this one) have decided on a starting qb for the rest of 2022 season. Did this cost IU 1 or 2 wins in October??? (If decisive with DW as starter at QB back in August)…such is IU coaching. -
1. Dexter Williams did some good things. 2. No mention of J.T. 3. C.B. will be your starting quarterback vs. Ohio State. and is this weeks strategy to come home victorious over the Ohio State Buckeyes with major tv Fox network letting all 3 IU football fans at this point and Buckeye nation witness another IU football debacle.

Going back to a post in 2013 IU was trying to determine who was going to play QB. Lol. November, 2022 no steadfast progress made in a decade approaching 10 years. (And same old story receivers? QB? and OL?) -

Tuttle can play if he is kept clean just like most good quarterbacks. That said, Tuttle should stay in portal and go somewhere even mid level and carefully look at offensive line. -
Thumb injury I think that is what T. M. said
